Raman went down to talk to his parent while ishita stood near the stairs to listen their conversation. She knows well that her demand was pretty wrong and no parent in the world will accept it but she wanted to see how Raman will court them.
Raman went downstairs and said -arey waah akele akele chai, mujhe koi offer nahi kar raha.
Toshiji-main abhi laati hoon, she said and went to brought tea for him. She brought the tea and raman start having it.
Seeing Mr and Mrs bhalla talking, Raman said -maa, papa, I wanna talk.
Mr bhalla -haan puttar bol.
Raman -mujhe shaadi karni hai.
His parent got happy hearing this and Toshiji said -finally,isse shaadi karne ki shud toh aayi. Main abhi bata karti hoon, she was saying when Raman said -maine ladki pasand kar li hai.
His parent look at him with shocked expression when he said -aur Aap log bhi jaante hai usse.
Toshiji -kaun??
Raman -ishita.
His parent look at each other and then Mr bhalla asked -kaun ishita??
Raman -ruhi ki maa. He said making them shocked.
Toshiji -kya, ishita se.how can u marry her. She is already married. Has a child also, tu bhool gaya Ruhi uski hi beti hai.
Raman -i do remember maa, but I have fallen in love with her. Uske siva aur kisi ko nahi dekh sakta apni zindagi mein. He said making ishita look at him. Though she knows that he is lying but don't know why she was feeling that he is telling the truth. May be she wanted to feel so, or may be his lie too had the same intensity.
Toshiji -yeh tu kya keh raha hai, puttar. Tu ishita se pyaar karta hai and want to marry her.
Raman -haan maa, toh isme galat kya hai.
Toshiji -how can u even think so, and how u fell for her. Usne tujhe jail bheja tha and u fell for her. Yeh hua kab??
Raman -uss time situation kuch aur thi, iss waqt kuch aur hai maa.i love her, I really do. Aur phir Aap yeh bhi sochiye ki agar main aur ishita shaadi kar le, toh Ruhi hamesha hamare paas rahegi.
Toshiji -kahin toh Ruhi ke liye hi toh shaadi nahi kar raha,she said in a go making Raman look at her.
Raman got conscious for a moment and then said -kuch bhi maa, how can u even think so. Main itna pagal lagta hoon ki sirf Ruhi ke liye ishita se shaadi kar lunga. I really love her, maa. Usme kuch aisa hai, joh kisi aur mein nahi hai. She is different, maa.
Toshiji -but puttar, woh shaadishuda thi. Aise kaise tu isse shaadi kar sakta hai. We don't know anything about her.
Raman -hum Ruhi ke baare mein bhi toh kuch nahi jaante the, maa. Par pyaar kiya naa usse, usne bhi Hume utna hi pyaar kiya. Pyaar karne ke liye logon ka past janna jaruri, apna future Ek saath dekhna jaruri hota hai. And i can't see my future with ishita and ruhi. They r a part of my life, maa. I want to make them my life. Aur main yeh Aap logon ki izzajat ke bina yeh nahi kar paaunga.
Toshiji look at Mr bhalla and said -aap hi kuch boliye,bhalla ji. Mujhe toh samajh nahi aa raha ki kya bolun.
Mr bhalla look at Raman. He was about to say something when Raman said -aap kuch bolen Isse pehle main kuch kehna chahta hoon. Aap log jaante hai, Ruhi mujhe papa kehti hai, aapko dadu aur aapko dadi. Humne yeh rishta bahut easily accept kar liya, toh uski maa ko accept karne mein kya problem hai. We all knew that Ruhi is not my daughter, phir bhi maine kabhi usse mujhe uncle bulane nahi diya. The day she called me papa, I was very happy, knowing well that I am not her papa. Think about some years later, when she grow up. When she start understanding that she is not my daughter and she can't call me papa. Toh kya beetegi uss par, aur mujh par bhi. Aap logon ko lag raha hoga that I am doing all this for Ruhi. But sach toh yeh hai that it will be an added advantage for me. Mujhe meri ruhi bhi mil jayegi aur ishita bhi. I will get a wife and a daughter too. Main usse legally apna keh paaunga, usse koi mujhse dur nahi kar paayega, maa. My Ruhi will always be mine. He said looking at his parent.
They were all silent and he said again -u people always trusted me, trust me for a last time. Main apne liye aur Aap logon ke liye kabhi galat nahi chununga. Ishita is the one who can complete our family.he said and Toshiji look upstairs.
Ishita hide behind the wall and Toshiji said -bula usse.
Raman -huh??
Toshiji -arey bula neeche apni ishita ko. She said and Raman look upstair. He signalled her to come down and she went down feeling scared of their reaction. She remembers how subbu's parent have insulted her after their marriage, that she trapped him for money. That she is just a gold digger.
She went downstairs all scared and stood beside toshiji.
Toshiji -tujhe raman pasand hai??
Ishita look at Raman hearing this.
Toshiji -kya, tujhse puch rahi hoon. U like him.
Ishita nodded in yes.
Toshiji -like him or love him.
Ishita look at toshiji hearing her. Then look at Raman, he pleaded her to answer.
Ishita -i love him. She said meekly, scared of their reaction when Toshiji kissed her temple and said -mujhe yeh rishta manzur hai.
Ishita look at toshiji all shocked thinking how easily sgw accepted her.
Toshiji took her hand in her and put it on raman's hand.
Toshiji -apni zindagi bhar ki punji tumhe de rahi hoon. Raman bas mera puttar nahi hai, woh duniya hai meri. Uski khushi ke liye main kuch bhi kar sakti hoon, aur uski khushiyan tujhse aur Ruhi se hai. Toh mujhe tujhe apne ghar ka hissa banane mein koi problem nahi hai. Bas ek baar yaad rakhna ishita, mere puttar jaisa insaan tujhe dusra nahi milega. Usse kabhi takleef mat dena, warna yeh maa tujhe kabhi maaf nahi karegi. Kabhi bhi nahi. All I want is his happiness, nothing else. Tu hamesha khush rakhegi naa mere puttar ko. She asked making ishita look down in shame.
She was feeling guilty thinking how she is betraying such good souls. Here she is being so selfish, marrying raman just for Ruhi. Here she is emotionally blackmailing raman to marry her, just to make Ruhi, his legal daughter .and his parent have accepted her and ruhi so easily. She was feeling herself so small and shallow infront of them.
Toshiji -tune jawaab nahi diya, puttar. Tu khush rakhegi naa mere puttar ko, usse kabhi takleef nahi degi naa.
Raman saw ishita's dull face hearing toshiji's question and understood her situation. That how difficult it is for her to lie.
Raman -kya maa, kuch bhi puch rahi ho. Why she will give me pain, he was saying when ishita said -i promise aunty, Raman ko kabhi koi takleef nahi hone dungi. I will comfort him in pain and will always try to keep him happy. Mere hote hue raman ko koi kabhi dukh nahi pahuncha paayega and that's a promise. She said making toshiji smile and raman shocked at the same time hearing her promise .
