EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan and Disha Patani signed for Imtiaz Ali's next

Last year in December, Shahid Kapoor made
an announcement about signing his next
with the Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali.
However, things did not materialized and
Shahid stated that they'd come together for
some other project. Imtiaz Ali on the other
hand, outright denied any such news.
However, while that movie did not work out
for either the director or the actor, looks like
Imtiaz has found his leading duo for his
next. And, it is none other than the Sonu Ke
Tittu Ki Sweety superstar Kartik Aaryan along
with Baaghi 2 actress Disha Patani. In a
rather unique pairing, looks like Imtiaz Ali
has finally found the leads for his next

Earlier, when Imtiaz was asked about the
movie, the director mentioned that there will
be many more such news and it is only
because he is regularly meeting up with
actors that such speculations arise. He also
went on to say that he never announced the
film and he never did say that he is working
with Shahid Kapoor. And hence, if he never
made a mention of it, why are people asking
the question to him now? They should
rather ask it to whoever made the
announcement.
Imtiaz had last directed the Shah Rukh Khan
Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal
and then went on to produce his latest, Laila
Majnu. Imtiaz was also the writer for the film
and it was co-produced by Ekta Kapoor,
Shobha Kapoor and Preety Ali.

I like his low key projects better, hopefully it'll allow him to focus on his script rather than the Stars

Imtiaz is a flop director now, unless he reinvents himself and tells a different story.
