This is getting really on my nerves. Wasn't Maan Singh Jodha's nephew. Now he becomes her brother. These cvs have done no research and just made a highly fictional show. Change the names of akbar and Salim too then and don't call it a historical fiction because you can't change some basic facts.
Then, these kids are highly annoying and creepy. Are they already in love with two meetings or something ? cvs are trying to show them as Laila majnu but they were neighbors and had a different story.

Their dialogues are too much for their ages, especially Anarkali. And why is she advising and running behind Jodha? Who is she? Forget her status, just a kid and trying to tell the queen what she should and shouldn't do. I don't even blame Hamida begum being annoyed of her anymore.

How long would this continue? I hope the leap happens before these kids completely destroy the characters. 😵

Ikr, its really pathetic how the show is going. They merged Bhagwan Das with his son 👏
Also, till now, no Birbal, no tordarmal, and Abul Fazal being the central warrior commander.
I know its not allowed to compare and mention other shows, but still, Ekta's jodha akbar was way better in these terms. It was fictional but with a lot of things accurate

anarkali is getting on everyones nerves now

acting too good and nice

talking over her age

kids are talking like adults no innocence

atleast salim is showing innocence by getting angry and pissed off with mom dad if they do not listen to him and in tears away from parents

But daniyal, murad and anarkali acting over age

I do have my own reservations with Ekta's JA but one thing for which I shall give her due credit is that she stayed true to facts atleast when it came to familial relations. She even showed Akbar's half bro Hakim Mirza and Begum Mahchuchak albeit with her own tadka. 😆
Now coming to DEMSA,I feel there is a lack of basic research. The historical fiction card doesn't seem to fit over here.PV was a different matter coz that was based on a lesser known historical figure on whom not many sources are available. So it's understood if they make alterations and take liberties. But Mughal history is different. There are many sources available on them. It's widely known that Maan Singh was Jodhaa's nephew. Therefore such a blooper is a huge which can't go unnoticed.
Bhagwaan Das was Jodhaa's bro and Maan Singh was her nephew and one of the Navratnas.Salim's first wife Maan Bai was Maan Singh's daughter.

Also the excessive zooming and flash effects irk me.They can also improve the editing.
Along with Laila Majnu, these two also remind me of Paro and Devdas.Childhood friends, boy goes abroad, girl waits for him, status difference, etc😆

anarkali is acting less like maid daughter and more like Queen

She reminds me of nur jahan in siyasaat or other nur jahan movies totally over dominating and snobbish

And shes saving salim in every other scene and consoling him like a mother

I doubt salims wives also will act like anarkali is acting with him

And salim letting it happen is another suprise as a kid and adult he must be more snobbish and dominating as crown prince than act so innocent and goody with even anarkali. I read salim would not listen to akbar or anyone easily as a teenager and adult. He was more of my way or highway kind of person till he was in his 40s. Otherwise will he get courage to revolt against Akbar or defy him from teenage days only.

Its only after marrying nur jahan that he let her dominate after his mid forties. As per foreigners, nur jahan would not allow him till he would bend to her whims and fancy. Still he did not allow Nur jahan to let hurt Shah jahan although he rebelled etc. The revolt was again handled with kid gloves only. If Nur jahan had her way Shah jahan would be dead. He survived revolt means that his father ensured no serious action on him.

If Salim is so soft, sweet lets anarkali and his brothers to dominate so much how will he revolt against akbar or how will he stand against akbar single handed. It takes great courage to revolt against Akbar who has entire mughal forces with him and lots of money and all machinery and administration etc. A soft hearted person who listens to everyone cannot get courage to go against the system and ruler as strong and powerful as Akbar.

In case of anrakali its not only class difference

Anarkali is a rakassa whom no one will marry

Its like bar dancer or even lower profession

No father or family in right sense will allow son to marry a rakassa

Maan Bai is Man Singhs sister and Bhagwan Das daughter

@bold,Oops!! Sorry I made a mistake.

I understand why it was not possible for Salim to marry Anarkali. But was it possible for him to take her as his concubine? She could have stayed with him though not necessarily as his wife.

Like laila majnu, even paro dev were neighbos knew each other fot years before separation. These two met just what 2 days before. Growing up they should forget each other not fall head over heels.
True, ekta's JA was very accurate in terms of relations, that's what naatkiye rupantra should be like. The story may be fictional but the characters and relations intact.
Mughal history is so well known and they make such a joke by showing a very young Salima, maan singh as Jodha's brother, its creepy.
