Good points. I have always been of the view that Rishabh was not completely wrong when he was seeking all the attention to himself. After all, he had been an abandoned kid too. So, I was actually able to understand what and why he was doing in the initial phases. But, I totally lost all the pity I had for him when he started harassing Palak and made her roam outside till late in the night.

I understand that even Rishab had troubled childhood. But there is a huge difference between abandoned by mom vs dad. Mamatha always open to listen to her kids and their challenges/issues. Rishabh never exhibited any signs of unhappiness or he is left out of the family. Even Rithwik said "let's talk about it. Mom & dad have right to know. What he is thinking " but Rishabh choose to go in a wrong path. Rithwik always vocal about his feelings where as Rishabh bottled up his feelings and giving abandonment as an excuse for his bad deeds. There are so many ways to address his insecurities if he acknowledges them in a right manner. I don't have any sympathy or will not support his behavior towards PaRit. His behavior is not acceptable.

@mysterygirl123 couldn't agree with you more. Palak was the first person to give Rithvik a wake up call. He is not the only person who is abandoned by their parents be it mother or father in this world. It is natural for him to be suspicious of the opposite sex since he was abandoned by his mother. That was greatly hightened since as far as he was concerned his mother abandoned him for money and better life opportunity. But he needs to grow up. Indeed he was abandoned by his mother but he also get another mother who has been nothing but good and caring towards him. That alone should show him enough that not every woman is a gold digger. Just because he was abandoned doesn't give him the right to always be pampered and given extra care that they have to always put others second in their life.

@diksha170 He always being put second would naturally cause jealousy towards Rithvik. Siblings rivalry always happened when one's parents favor another. Especially, when they are favoring one child heavily from another. But yes him harrassing Palak is just out of line. Especially when it is about professional thing since Palak at that time was the representative from the company they were about to work together. Mixing personal and professional life is really unprofessional in itself. Despite having personal issue with Palak he should have acted professionally.

@agamfan I am not sure from where you are saying this. As a personal experience whose one of your parents have abandoned you in the past or as a professional as you are a therapist by trade. But just because mother's abandonment is way less than father's abandonment. Just because we were trained to view that father could easily abandon their children compare to mother. It doesn't make one more or less severe. Parents abandonment be it mother or father is just that abandonment. Just because this series view Rithvik as the hero and Rishabh as the villain doesn't mean that Rithvik's case is more severe than Rishabh's case.

@Agamfan: I am quoting @Rogna here in response to your post:
Parents abandonment be it mother or father is just that - abandonment. Just because this series view Rithvik as the hero and Rishabh as the villain doesn't mean that Rithvik's case is more severe than Rishabh's case.

Adding more:
If we are hero-worshipping, be my guest and attempt justifying Rithwik over Rishabh. After all, what is the use of having a hero in a serial if we are not feeling good about him. Else he will be called a supporting actor.

If we are analyzing root causes and psychology, then both brothers have suffered equally; Rithwik got extra love and attention for his issues and Rishabh did not. We don't get to determine which way of letting out frustrations is less wrong - Rithwik's womanizing or Rishabh's backstabbing. Both methods have hurt people.

For the sake of dramatizing the serial, one will obviously be made more of a hero (courtesy Palak) and the other a villain (harassing Palak) ... but if we are analyzing psychology, we cant analyze just a single point in time or a few scenes, we have to keep perspective of 20 full years, from the time Rithwik and Rishabh became brothers and without choice.

Give it time, there will be a point ...perhaps towards the end of the serial, when Rishabh too will realize how absolutely wrong he has become. Its his misfortune that he does not have a Palak (he has a Saanchi, who is a very weak person) to show him a mirror. But yes, even he will turnaround one day. After all even Daku Ratnakar became Maharishi Valmiki
