Akbar is very suited for thhe role. The actor suits an emperors poise, gaite and has a voice thats powerful. Its tough to get a good actor for emperors role and this actor suits best(whats his name?). I think after Prithviraj Kapoor in Mughal e azam this person suits Akbar role best(especially for middle aged and older age)

Jodha Bai looks very young compared to Akbar but shes also good and suits role. Once Salim becomes big Jodha and Salim will look siblings rather than mother-son.

The sets are good and grand

The child actors are very good for their role, they look their part innocent and unaware of worldly rules.

Almost all actors suit the role

Hamida Bano is negative here, but in history Salims biggest supporter was Hamida Bano. When Akbar went to have war with Salim she begged him to not go for war against her grandson. And her death stopped the war between Salim-Akbar actually in history. So in future its interesting to know how she will behave with Salim after his love affair. Hamida Bano herself was a commoner and so why would she treat Anarkali and her mother so badly? Shes already apprehensive of Salim anarkalis friendship and it continuing in youth

Ruqaiah is negative and wants to kill Salim and so does Salima. In history both were biggest Salim supporters. Salima Begum went to Allahabad and got Salim back to agra in history.

Daniyal and Murad are mean. In history Murad, daniyal and Salim were supicious of each others moves as teenagers and young adults.

Salim has no friends in palace of his age. Where are his milk brother Qutubuddin, cousin brothers like Karan and Durjan Singh etc and friends like Mahabhat Khan. He has no friends at all, only anarkali?

Abdul Fazl was a poet and writer not a warrior.

I do not think a kaneez like anarkali and her mother could roam the palace and fort so freely.

Hi friend, remember me. As usual your review covers all the major historical points. Thanks. Since your knowledge of history is so detailed, it will make sense for all to take note of what you write.
I will read your reviews. If you recommend this show after watching for one week I will follow it too.

Hi i used to read your views n knowledge regarding history in JA forum n u hv done great research in history of mughals n other dynasty n being a true history lover you point out the most acknowledge historical facts but as per the main lead n all said salim anarkali s story is fictitious n makers will take certain liberties so let's see what story they will depict.

Hello Donjas

Hello jalak

Nice to see you back

Anarkali Salim is not proved historically. But William Finch and Edward terry two travellers have written about this story. But mughal books have not recorded anarkali story and hence historians think its a fiction. But Salim had few love stories so the fact that something similar may not have taken place cannot be totally dismissed. And few foreigers accounts have mentioned anarkali name so although historically no indian book recorded this affair we cannot for sure say if this happened or not. Akbar did not record any wife name, so no way he would allow his sons affairs to be recorded anywhere that too with maids and dancers etc. Akbar was very specific that Salim marry royals and that too from big states. He even opposed his marraiges to sahib jamal and khas mahal zain kokas daughter etc who was his milk brother and a mughal. So recording his affair with a courtesean and dancer is even unimaginable.

I think here makers are taking so much liberty n don't think they are going to follow records and history the lead themselves confirm that they are going to take lots of creative liberties so they will change every characters as per their own perceptions and so far they make good drama I will watch with compromise the history part .
