Chapter 1

Rathi family was always a rich and better to do family. Bhabho was loving and very strict. Suraj was a man of heart very caring and understanding and sandhya a doting mother to all her children. Babasa love was equal for all his grandchildren but little more for Kanak after all she is his only granddaughter and after 3 generations first female was born and that too with very much difficulty. It was very hard to save her doctor had given choice to suraj that they can save only one either mother or child. And suraj had made the choice it was sandhya not because she was his wife but mother to his sons who were just 12 years old he cannot sacrifice her for his unborn child but he was crying inside while signing papers. All their dreams were crushed in the single moment. Bhabho babasa ved and vansh all were there. And after signing the papers suraj cried but the God was greatful to them. Although doctor saved sandhya but the child was fighter herself and didn't die in the process she kept on breathing and lived. Doctor were amazed on the little one will power and after 2 days of observation when they find out nothing is wrong with the baby they handed over her to her father. Suraj said I don't remember when I cried last time. But you made me cry firstly tears of sorrow and now tears of joy but I love you and I promise from now you will be my priority I will do anything for you.

Bhabho took the little one in her hand and smiled and kissed her forehead. And took her to sandhya. Everyone was happy on that day it was a long battle won. And doctor agree to it. Suraj had ordered a grand welcome for her daughter. Next day on every paper there was a headline that princess was on her way to palace and yes they were living in mansion. But suraj knew the truth about the debts they have . He was trying his level best infact started a new company about 4 years ago but it was not doing well. Sandhya told her there was no need to spend so much but suraj said he will fulfill all dreams he have for her daughter.

Chapter 2

Sandhya told suraj not to spend so much as still she is a small baby and it doesn't matter to her. They have not shared their financial status to family members. Babasa was not good at business and when suraj took over the business it was already struggling for survival. Still he has managed it till now. He has made settle to his brother and his wife. Taking care of vedansh education and managing everything. But sandhya knows about his struggle but as a house wife can't help him much. But this till suraj happiness has no bounds and he was planning a grand scale for his baby's 6th day celebration and sandhya can't do much in it. In just 2 days the baby has become Apple of everyone eyes. Specially Bhabho even sandhya has to take her permission only for feeding the baby needs sandhya all the time baby is with family members.

At night suraj was busy in making checklist for the preparation of 6th day celebration. Sandhya take out her jewellery box and hand over it to suraj. Suraj said right now I am busy I will choose jewellery for you later on. Sandhya said it's not for me but for you. She continued I know our financial situation and now this please take it and I don't wear them at all so you can use it. Suraj kept the list aside and said sandhya I know you care for me but please don't do this. I will manage everything and as far as this jewellery is concerned if you don't wear it we will give it to our daughter it belongs to her now just relax and rest for a while I have some pending work.

Next day vikram and meenakshi arrived for the celebration as they don't stay with them. Suraj has helped vikram in settling his own business and by giving money time to time. But vikram was very busy in his work so he hardly comes home once in 3-3 months so visiting Rathi mansion was once in a year. After lunch meenakshi complaint this to Bhabho. She said vikram has a export business so he hardly stays at home and she and Golu are all alone. Vikram said but bhabho I can't do much you know how it works and my business still nurturing so I can't leave it. Bhabho gave an idea why don't all 3 of you come back to mansion. Sandhya needs someone and now I am getting old and in joint family Golu will not feel alone he will have good time with vedansh. Meenakshi agreed. And vikram as well.

Vikram signalled to suraj to meet him alone. Sandhya saw this.

At night sandhya said can't we cancel the function I mean I know whenever vikram meets you in personal what he says and he is your brother he had a right to ask help from you. Suraj said there is a small packet in the cupboard just open it. Sandhya opened it and for her surprise it was a cheque of 20 lakhs. Suraj said last time when vikram asked for 15 lakhs it was not for him but his friend and after taking money his friend left the country but out of blue he met him at the airport and gave back the money with interest. So vikram was returning me this amount . Sandhya smiled. Suraj said for celebration it will cost maximum 4-5 lakhs and with the remaining amount what do you want. Sandhya was relieved and thank God for it. She said remaining amount we will keep in fixed for our 3 children. Suraj said yes but little ones share would be higher. Sandhya said I was talking about vedansh and Golu. Now meenakshi and Golu will stay with us. So they should not think that there is any partiality done to them. Suraj agreed.

And finally the night arrived suraj was talking to his friend he won't be coming but he has send his best wishes. Vikram and meenakshi was happy with the gesture suraj made for Golu. And Bhabho was with little one playing with her. Meenakshi said we should decide a name for her. Bhabho said she has invited guruji for this and he will be here any moment and he will decide name. Guruji arrived and blessed everyone. Bhabho gave child to guruji. Guruji smiled and said she is very lucky for your family. After her arrival your fame money wealth will increase and she will be everyone's love. No one will be able to hate her. Bhabho asked a good name for her. Guruji named her Kanak means pure gold as she is a golden touch for your family. Bhabho requested him to make a kundali for her. Guruji asked for some time . Suraj said yes you can take it in next 3 months we are planning to have a naming ceremony for her you are also invited you can tell her future prediction on that day. Guruji agreed. But he was tensed and sandhya noticed it.

Chapter 3

At night suraj was playing with Kanak. Sandhya came and said let me feed her in sometime Bhabho will take her to her room and than I will not be able to do it. Suraj handed Kanak to her. Suraj asked are you not happy that our child is our lucky charm. I believe him don't you and what happened it's a clear proof we were not having money and suddenly money came to our door step isn't it a miracle ? Sandhya smiled and said yes it's true but raising a girl child is different from raising a boy child. From last 3 generations there were no girls in our family and now we are blessed with it. I hope I will be a good mother of her. Suraj assured her that she will be a great mother and Kanak will be proud of her.

Some days passed peacefully Kanak was 3 months old and still she is favorite of everyone specially for her brother vedansh and Golu. They all have become responsible and elder because of her. Suraj's business flourish apart from local order now he was getting international orders as well. And vikram joined suraj in his business and meenakshi was no less than sandhya in loving Kanak only problem was she was superstitious on every matter and sometimes it bothers sandhya and Bhabho very much. Suraj at the dining table discussed that he wants to celebrate Kanak naming ceremony this week itself as he is going abroad and will not be available for next some months and vikram will handle business over here. Everyone agreed and Bhabho informed and invited guruji for the ceremony. For the next days there was a hustle in Rathi mansion. Everyone was busy meenakshi with the arrangements Bhabho and sandhya with the guest list like a grand thing happening. Sandhya asked Bhabho now we are doing so much I was thinking what will happen in her marriage . Bhabho said now it's time to think about it and everyone is here to think about it. Suraj came arguing on the phone. He was telling you have not come on my baby's 6th day ceremony and now also you are busy you have to come with your family and I will not listen anything. Sandhya asked what happened. Suraj said my friend who had given me money to startup business was arguing with me. He has settled in different city . Bhabho asked are you talking about Narendra Toshiwal. Suraj said who else but I have given him ultimatum to come or I will not come to his place ever. Sandhya asked looks like he is your best friend. Suraj said he is not just a friend but like a brother to me we were buddies and wanted that our children will also become friends but unfortunately he has settled in different city so lost touch. You know he also have a son and he named him Umashankar which was originally his father's name and that kid is a real genius at this age. Ask him whatever like any subject and he can answer. Sandhya it's really hard not to get impressed with him. Sandhya said okay so we will be waiting for him as well.

The naming ceremony day arrived and suraj was waiting for Narendra. Finally Narendra Toshiwal with his wife kaushalya arrived she was pregnant and sandhya was taking extra care of her. Sandhya asked for Umashankar. Narendra said he couldn't make it as there are scholarship and he is taking part in it so preparing for the same. Guruji arrived and everyone welcome him. Guruji with all the ritual named the baby Kanak. Everyone was happy. Suraj asked about her future. Guruji said as I said she is a very lucky for you and don't worry everything is fine with her but she has her share of struggle which she had to do and she will have someone who will be her strength and will always be her. Suraj asked about her marriage. Guruji said there are some complications but eventually she will get married just take care of 3 years between 18 till 21 these years are hard for her. After sometime guruji left. Suraj was tensed.

Narendra said these guruji and Baba's are fake don't trust them so much . Suraj said it's not true in case of guruji. Narendra said okay we are leaving now and one more thing I will be leaving for US next week. My son has got admission in reputed school so for his better future we are shifting there. So maybe we will not meet for sometime.

All guest left and next week suraj waved goodbye to his friend and family.
