By the end of yesterday's episode, I was like what the hell did I just watch 😆 What have I gotten myself into and since I am 'committed' to it, can't give up. 🤪
It looked like a competition between three characters, who could be the biggest stubborn idiot. Waseem, Aditya and Zoya. Zoya took the prize 😆, don't worry Aditya was runner up.
Anyway, jokes apart. They say there are five stages of grief one goes through.
First is denial, Zoya is in denial that she is in love with Aditya and Aditya is in denial that Zoya may not be ready for a relationship at this sensitive stage. Even if Arshad wasn't in the picture, zoya would still be in her adamant state because we all know she is in fear of falling in love again. Arshad is here so she is using him as a shield to run away from that feeling. I always felt Zoya loved yash with more pagalpan than Aditya loved pooja. Which is why it is difficult for her to accept this love. When she told Arshad that I am committed to you. It felt like commitment was more important to her than love at this moment. She doesn't want to be another yash who will break his commitment for love.
Aditya, on the other hand, has made up his mind to see zoya in his life. He has always had zoya in his life after pooja's death which is why he is in denial that there could be a chance he won't see zoya in his life. The fear of losing someone is freaking him out that he cannot endure at this moment. He wants to show to the world that he can love endlessly too.
Second is anger. Anger is what we saw creeping up to Aditya yesterday after waseem's words and ring in his hand. His denial of not seeing zoya in his life anymore is slowly turning into anger. It is fun until all the marriage talks are in words but once it goes into action, it is very difficult to be patient. That's what happened with aditya. His frustration took over and he became a different person. He didn't realize there was blood till someone pointed out. He was so lost in his desperation he didn't realize what he was doing. Zoya is a different person too at this moment because she is angry at aditya angry at herself for rising all those feelings which she had killed off long back.
The whole blood engagement took me back to adi's birthday where he had morphed Poosh's pictures and was screaming on top of his voice for zoya to accept their affair where as she screamed back saying her trust won't break. They have become the same adiya now. Zoya needed a solid proof like divorce paper to accept it.
The desperation in Aditya's eyes to get her to atleast think about her feeling and zoya's desperation to stop those feelings were painful and disturbing to watch. Aditya's line aur kitna khoon bahaunga toh samajh aaega mere pyaar sacha hai, stood out to me. I think this line will play a part in the future. Something is going to happen to Aditya after which there will be no blood to shed for zoya.
Third is bargaining. The marriage contract given to Aditya by zoya was her way of bargaining with him. If I give you this contract will you let me get married in peace? This whole mess started with a bargain. When Zoya took up Adi's anniversary contract her father had put a bargain infront of her. Meet Arshad and I will let you plan this party. Now it is ending with another bargain.
As much as I hate to admit, from the precap it does look like Aditya has which caused something that will lead her to put the ring. Aditya is desperate now and his thinking ability has a shut down. It likely he has resorted to bargaining now which caused zoya to take this step.
Fourth is depression. It is quite obvious after the engagement it is going to break both of them completely. Aditya's words in the precap already shows he is breaking. Zoya even though is walking away from aditya, her face tells a different story. It actually looks like it's taking every cell in her body to walk away from Aditya. In the beginning too when arshad was bandaging her hand in all the chaos she took a moment to look at aditya's finger to see how bad it is. But turned away quickly looking at waseem.
Aditya surely will go into depression after the engagement. We don't know exactly what that depression will do to him. Either he will be dead inside to do anything or he will become a storm that will cause a mess in everyone's lives.
Last is acceptance. I hope or wish we are nearing acceptance now. Aditya's acceptance to back off and Zoya's acceptance of her love. After fighting with the world Aditya may realize who is he fighting for in the first place.
I despertely want a heartbreaking scene where Aditya tells zoya calmly that she failed his love, failed him. The confident Adi who kept saying she won't go through with his engagement will break and I need him to accept that sometimes it better to let go. Chaos cannot be faught with chaos.
Zoya's acceptance after this needs to be worth it Cvs! After everything, even though I know Zoya is getting equally hurt in all this, I need her to fight the world for their love as well. I don't know how much of aditya will be left after today's precap but I need zoya to be equally stubborn with her acceptance as she is with her denial.
PS- Okay so I have seen much worst main lead in western shows and have wondered how the hell will they redeem this character and have been surprised when they do lol. So going to wait and give it a chance to see how far and dark are the cvs going to take before they come up for air and let us breathe😆
Again Jenny and HC were phenomenal! I could feel their angst through my screen :)
