There are some kind of similarity between that movie and this show.

Both have successful wife being cheated by not so successful husband. Both had the honest caring partner being taken to a ride by the other. They had the cheating partner sleeping together as well .

Karan tried to Whitewash the EMA by showing them to be emotionally incompatible. The husband and wife were shown to be at loggerheads cause the guy had complex.

Here they have gone one step ahead and showed the leads are justified cause good wants them together

While Karan was hailed to be a brave filmmaker CVs of SNRK are bashed .

Bollywood audiences are mature now where TV people are stuck with Naagins daayans .They dont want to see bitter reality

When naagin & daayan- have better story than garbage story of kunan definitely people will stick 2 them

Neither naagin not daayan promote immorality as both r frictional series

God only know how come an EMA is a divine relationship as shown in SBRK & if a EMA is a divine relationship then what is marriage

In KANK problems were very much shown b/w both d couples & Karan Johar dint glorified an ema as divine

Dev & Maya were never happy betraying their partners specially Maya who was extremely guilty after consummation , can't even see in riya's eyes & Nandini was on cloud nine

Even classic movie Silsila also never glorified ema

Naagin Ko critize karne se pehle ye do dekh lo ki naagin trp topper kyu hai

KANK is much better than SBRK

pardon me but I don't agree with that
When everyone signed up for this show they were very well aware that it's about EMA...
However the way the writers have portrayed the affair as some god gift it does look stupid like the Naagin you have mentioned
Apparantely Naagin is a sci fi
It doesn't show reality at alll
That's a show which is only shown for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES
not a show like SILSILA which apparantely tackles with a situation such as EMA hasn't done justice to its content at all...
People like us watch movies and also drama and we are mature enough to have an opinion about the content we are watching and also can criticize it if we don't like some of the things it's portraying

Kunal was very much living a happy & perfect life , which Kunal himself said, then suddenly he saw Nandini dancing in rain & fell 4 her wow, what a perfect reason of EMA.

Even naagin series lead naagin has more moral than Nandini , she never hurt any innocent neither fear of d punishment when her truth comes out

Pata nhi Mauli ne Nandini ke saath Aisa kya Kar diya, ki ek baba ke bolne se Kunal se pyar ho Gaya

I never knew EMA aur SBRK is a fantasy series

KANK was a lot more mature and realistic. The problem with Silsila is not ema or adultery but it's execution. In the movie both Dev- Rhea and Maya-Rishi were already unhappy. Dev and Maya both married their spouses knowing they didn't love them. They married their friends. And it did go well until complexes surfaced. Dev couldn't play anymore and he had loved his profession. He was pulled back in his career while Rhea kept moving forward.He developed an inferiority complex as a result. Maya too was insecure because og her infertility. And then Rhea and Rishi were too different from Maya and Dev. I remember a line from one of the songs.

"Aag se dandak barf se garmi maangke hum pachthaaye "

That was their problem. They expected different things in life.

Does that justify ema? No. But the movie didn't exactly justify it.

Both Dev and Maya were guilty. I watched this movie a long long time back and I didn't loke it. But as far as I remember they themselves confessed the truth. Neither of them were forgiven. They suffered. Rishi and Rhea moved on. And then Maya dev were united.

Silsila on the other hand shows a couple wjo are crazily in love. And then one day the guy suddenly falls dor the new woman. He cannot control it. And neither can she. The wife is forgotten though she is perfect as a wife and friend. And ya it's all sanctoneds by God. Nature wanted it to happen.

So ya KANK seems much better now

I am sorry but I don't agree with this. Indian audience is open to mature content too. There have been shows which despite poor trps were widely discussed due to their content and there were some that even siared in trp charts. The best example is Balika Vadhu. The show was mirror of how girls in parts of our country suffer. Then there are shows like Dahleez and POW. These didn't have brilliant trps. Nevertheless they were popular. How can it be if our audience is mot interesred in content ?

And then if the audience wasn't ipen to new content why would they have started watching Silsila in the first place ?? It's only that a mature audience expects a more mature execution of a mature topic.

how is KANK better than silsila?

Maya's husband always loved her .Here Nandini was abused by her husband and Kunal is the one who saved her .

Dev had a kid still he was cheating on them .Both are same .

wohi toh main bol rahi hu logon ko naagin jaisa show pasand hai isiliye trp topper hai.

Naagin is shittiest show on Indian tv .The leads suck Anita is only saving grace .

Nandini n Kunal both were guilty when they realized their feelings .I hope u r watching the same show . If u have problem with the romantic bg in silsila then who can forget "Mitwa" in KANK .
