The child with Sahil is, Sahil and Vedika's ! She along with Maya did artificial insemination, because, it was Yash's dying wish to have Vedika bear a child in his name, even if the sperm was of a donor's. Maya and her husband could not conceive and no donors were available for her, when Sahil learnt of this he decided to be the donor. That day, Vedika to came for her appointment. Because of the nurse's mistake and mixup with the files of Maya and Vedika, Vedika got Sahil's sperm and Maya, Vedika's donor. After badi Amma learnt of this, she took Vedika's kid and gave it to Sahil to raise, saying she did not want it. She wanted Vedika to believe she lost her kid to stillbirth, but, before Vedika could wake up, Sahil's cousin too had a baby, same day, at the same hospital, but she gave birth to a girl. Her husband wanted a boy so, he thought of getting rid of it then learning about Vedika he decided to place his kid in her care and told his wife she gave birth to a stillborn. So now, Vedika is bringing the girl up believing her to be hers and Sahil's baby. And Sahil is bringing his own child up, without knowing it is his and Vedika's child! Even though he knows the baby was whom Vedika gave birth to!
