Both Aditya and Arjun belong to a problem family. (Children from such families end up making poor choice in terms of a life partner, example is Pooja and the reason why they end up doing this is because they desperately look for a crutch or any means to be away from their family.)Where both Anjana and Harshwardhan have always kept themselves or their needs and insecurities before their children and their family.
Mr.Hooda's aspirations,affair, Anjana's grudge against Mr.Hooda which she holds very close to her heart, her insecurity as a mother and her madness. Which mother-in-law will kill her daughter-in-law for an affair. The best thing she could have done that time was exposing Pooja instead of getting her killed. Her son was traumatised with both grief and betrayal and looking for answers, but the person with all the answers is dead.Which kind of mother does that to her child. The recent stunt Anjana pulled by trying to frame her son by putting glass and nails in Arshad's matki which could have really injured Arshad.
I feel though Aditya loves his parents but he doesn't feel that emotional connect with them as much as he feels with Arjun and Zoya. Arjun is a good brother but his morale policing gets hard on Aditya at times. Arjun is practically the only grown up in that house where he comes across as the only one who is trying to keep the family together at all costs.But even he does have some issues he comes across as a really sulky boyfriend to me.
Where as if you look here at Zoya and Noor. They did have a pretty stable family with a childhood that can be treasured except for an overbearing father. Zoya being Zoya at a point of time rebelled against Waseem and married Yash, which turned out to be a terible mistake. That's the reason she is tolerating her overbearing father even at this stage of her life where she should be making her own decisions. That's the reason she is being respectful towards her parents as they had been with her through thin and thick.
