Hello!

Here's the thread for today's episode. Please feel free to start posting here once the episode airs.

I look forward to your comments.

Sorry guys, this review is shorter than usual as I am traveling.

Alexander and Bamni come face to face. I'm not sure why the CVs did that but they probably wanted some more dialogue-Baazi.

Bamni asks him how he liked the welcome in PR, to which Alexander promptly replies that no move of theirs could stop him from getting to his mother now. Whoever gets in his way would be crushed today, so the PR people are better off accepting their defeat and lowering their heads/bowing to Alexander. I don't think Sony Alexander realizes who he's talking to. Bamni might have done a lot of silly things but surrender he won't, not when his son is counting on him.

Alexander threatens Bamni Porus' kata hua sar (not again!!!) and tells him he will take the PR throne, to which Bamni says that people don't choose the throne, the throne chooses the king, the one who is worthy of ruling not the one who destroys it. I wanted to ask him if this were true how come he was king of PR for so long, because clearly he wasn't fit to rule. I think he missed the memo on Alexander's conquests, and as LuckySnow said, he had multiple thrones to his name. Ugh!

Bamni gets emotional as he tells Alexander that he taught Kanishk the same (as if Alexander cares), and then asks him if he remembers how he killed Kanishk and that he would take revenge for his son's death. Oh my goodness! Bamni was talking as if Kanishk was an innocent little boy who was punished by Alexander for no reason, conveniently forgetting that he had betrayed his own family well before Alexander came into the picture. Selective amnesia, I tell you!

And then, instead of continuing to fight on horseback both Bamni and Alexander get off their horses and fight each other on the field, I mean grass. Bamni manages to slash at Alexander, who looks like he was rusty with sword fighting.

I wish they wouldn't show all these fight scenes in slow motion, it takes the crunch out of things. Bamni is on the ground looking at all his men dying, and I don't know what Alexander was waiting for - instead of killing him he just stood there looking at him and telling him he was going to kill Porus too now. Bamni raises his sword and instead of slashing Alexander he stares at Porus arriving with Dasyuraj on the scene! Alexander too stares instead of using this distraction to kill Bamni on the spot. This is becoming a joke! How can we call this the final battle? Bamni asks one of his men to get information on the advancement of the Taxila army, instead of just sending some soldiers there to help Anusuya and Laachi.

More voiceover about do niyatiyon ka yudh! Ab yeh kya hai? They showed Olympias, and the voiceover said it might be the victory of her challenge or the loss of her misconception. Apparently her eyes would open to how Bharati are. I don't think Olmypias needs to see anymore. She has seen enough and judged them perfectly Porus and Chanakya could have given her a good enough message about Bharati sanskriti and sammaan while she was still at Taxila. She would have heard about their kaarnaame on the battlefield anyway. Kidnapping her was not required, but this whole thing has been contrived by the CVs to justify their "plot, which is...who knows?

Ambhiraj and Anusuya come face to face, and he insults Bamni by saying he left his wife to defend the palace. Anusuya calls him a rat and calls her husband a lion, who attacks from the front. What rubbish!! What did he just do to ambush Alexander in a sneak move, with no warning about his attack? Ambhiraj called them able naari and then Laachi started with her woman empowerment speech, ending with references to the Mahabharata and Draupadi's role. SidT just couldn't resist could he?

Ambhiraj asks his men to keep Anusuya and Laachi busy until his setup is complete. I wonder what he's talking about but he looked completely unfazed and totally in control of the situation, which is better than I could say for Alexander at that point.

Bamni tells Porus to show Alexander the strength of the Bharati soil so that no invader ever dares to attack Bharat again... I guess he doesn't know that it happened many many times over.

Porus and Alexander both get off there horse and meet face to face. Like the meeting of their mothers, this one had them (and my head) going round and round in circles both physically and verbally.

Alexander asked him if he liked the tohfa of his dead brother (Hasti), but of course Porus was smug enough when telling him that Hasti was still alive and would return to fight him. Did that mean he would let Alexander live today so that there could be another fight? Why not just finish him off right there and then? Alexander didn't look surprised at all - he's probably getting used to the fact that the PR people have nine lives and would always "come back from the dead. More lectures from Porus and then Alexander just get annoyed saying

Baatein, baatein, baatein... Sirf baatein karte ho tum Bharati. Aur jab jung ka waqt aata hai to dushman ki maa ko dhaal banakar unke peechhe chup jaate ho tum log.

Like many of you, I felt that this dialogue echoed what we've been thinking for a long time now! Anyone who watched just this scene would feel as if Alexander and his mother were the victim, and Porus was the bad guy. I don't know what the writers are planning, or if they even have a plan in the first place.

Porus said that he didn't take Olmypias to PR in order to use her as a shield, rather to show her the strength of his sword and change her soch. As if that justifies kidnapping her. He then said it was time for Alexander to defeat Porus in battle and take his mother back with respect. That is contradicting what he said about the reasons for kidnapping Olympias, because he basically is asking a son to rescue his mother, not saying anything along the lines of "I will hand over your mother to you, I don't mean to harm her because of the fight between us. Oh for goodness sake! He was confirming exactly what Alexander accused him off. Can you blame him for being infuriated by Porus' words?

Aaj to Alexander se khud khuda phi nahin jeet sakta, kyon ke daon par meri maa lage hai!

Can you blame him for saying that? If after such a dialogue they don't show Alexander succeeding in rescuing Olmypias, then laanat hai CVs par. They clearly have no idea how to respect a mother-son relationship. It doesn't matter if they are Bharati or not, invaders or not.

Maa to maa hoti hai.

Just like in the PR court scene, when Alexander was outnumbered and caught by surprised, he used words to turn the tables around and that's what he did today as well. He was surrounded from all directions in the forest and just wanted to catch Porus off guard by saying he had laid a trap for Anusuya, although no such thing was planned. He then challenged Porus using the same words and asked him to win against Alexander and then rescue Anusuya. Porus was making a fist so I expect a superhuman stunt today.

Porus is supremely confident of Anusuya and Laachi's ability to stop Ambhiraj. It's great to have faith in their abilities but he needs to think practically too. They are hugely outnumbered and need help, yet here Porus kept lecturing Alexander instead of sending off some of his men. I hope Bamni goes at least. He threatens Alexander and asks him to be ready because he and his mother would see the Bharati veerta and shamta themselves. I think any admiration or respect Alexander had for Porus has been lost because of the kidnapping and now with the constant lecturing.

Even if Chanakya had brought Olympias to PR, Porus could have argued against it like he did when Chanakya tricked Alexander into coming to PR to have him killed. But no Porus went along with it. What about his morals and principles and all that he said about a king being responsible for the good and bad that happens under his rule? This is just bad writing and unnecessary dialogues. As I said, yesterday's episode had the most confusing dialogues I had ever heard on this show.

I am telling you if Alexander burns everything down now, I won't blame him. They crossed a line and it was too late. If the CVs let him win even a small round, that is.

Chankaya...Fasaad ki jadh...hiding goodness knows where. I am sure he is unto no good and will only appear to treat Anusuya or something. 😕

Hephaestion and Cleitus were nowhere to be seen, and the Farsi fairies continued their mountain trek. Where is Seleucus??? Ab to saari umeedein usse hai.

If the promo we saw was accurate, then the CVs are now going to create some flashbacks at the last moment or pull some other stunts to show that Alexander had plotted to trap and kill Anusuya. Which doesn't make any sense at all! He had now way of knowing the palace defence was weak or that he would be ambushed, with all the men here in the forest and not enough soldiers back in PR. He didn't know anything about the palace and the reason for asking Ambhiraj to help, in exchange for sparing the life of his son, was because Alexander doesn't know much about PR or the palace or even where to find his mother. He expected that when he went to PR to find his mother, they would prevent him from entering, and so he asked for Taxila to be there as backup. He had no idea why they had kidnapped Olympias but his only mission was to extract her.

If Ambhiraj decided to capture Anusuya and imprison her, that would have been terrible but still more acceptable than what we see. It was clearly shown in the flashbacks that he was the one thinking about revenge and that he had gone to PR with his own agenda that had nothing to do with helping Alexander. He wanted to kill two birds with a stone (pun not intended). Alexander had no way of knowing about this rivalry and Ambhiraj is to be held accountable for his actions and decisions.

In the promo, they are calling Ambhiraj apna... as I said, right now even Alexander is more apna to Porus than Ambhiraj will ever be. At least he doesn't launch sneak attacks on them and his mission is just to save his mother. He isn't even thinking about conquering Bharat at this moment, rather teaching these PR people a lesson. He would gain nothing from wanting to kill Anusuya and he doesn't even think that way. It's against his code of honor, which the CVs have very conveniently decided to ignore.

They have failed to turn Alexander into a 100% villain so now they are coming up with even more stupid tracks. As @EtherealRati said, the CVs will now try to drag Alexander into this by hook or by crook, even if there is no logic to it whatsoever. The real Alexander would come back to destroy SidT if he knew what had been done to his name. I am really hating SidT right now. I just hope that promo is misleading but the voiceover clearly says that Alexander planned to get a brother to kill his own sister, (as if Ambhiraj is a puppet with no voice or free will of his own)! 😡😡😡

I hope we don't more dialogue-baazi today and that there is some action. Let's see.
