I did expect the CVs esp after the leap, the show would expand with new characters and family esp their female's lead... as most shows do that.

I did say on the tellybuzz article on here that Ishika being female lead, her side of the family will be seen and their conflicts too (concerning women and so on) and how her family are and what goes on, it as you said adds layers in... for the character, for RooShika right now and in future.

There is quite few things going in that house, and we have heard little tidbits of it on Friday and now seen some it yesterday.
There is conflict within the other family members against Ishika and her parents too

I do kinda expect the show will balance in showing - Two families (Wagela and Patel) households and conflicts

Overall i expect to see Roop and Ishika, like @wickedx said how they battle together against the society for women and then other stuff.

It's an RS show, so get ready to witness such type of drama in the show...😉

which type? Saathiya type? Simar type? And from whatever tiny bits I've seen of Shakti, that's not my cup of tea either...here I have been watching daily due to Roop & his family...if their stories get sidelined and screenspace gets reduced, I may stop watching.

It's your choice if you quit the show in future or continue with it for SV, cos SV is the main highlight of the show...you can't escape the drama of an RS show...they specialise in drama and it's their mantra to grab trps...that's the reason RS shows like shakti still rule the trp charts...even ekta and gul Khan shows uses the same...

I like that how the show is working in narrative and placement as in we seeing Roop's family home life, and conflicts and also alongside seeing Ishika's family home life and conflicts. And their relationships with their loved ones. And also Roop and Ishika's build up. Their individuality as characters, and Togethers as character and build up.

Take the Raksha Bandhan episode, which i think was done so well. We got back and forth scenes of Roop family and Ishika family and how theu celebrated Rakhi and things that happens. Parallels and contrast scenes

Both are going through things. Ishika has got a deep pain in her (we find out she had a brother) and Roop is in caught in the middle with his parents.
