Yes Bhagavad Gita has taught me to fight. Fight to preserve humanity. Fight for the sake of humanity. Fight for dharma and dharma is not religion, the biggest dharma on this earth is that of humanity. If Bhagavad Gita teaches me to fight for humanity as a practicing hindu I am sure the other religious books also would be teaching the same. Not to fight and kill innocents in the name of religion, but to fight to preserve humanity.
That was what Krishna told Arjuna why he need to fight the kurushtera war. It was to protect humanity. If it was not fought, once again a panchali would be dragged to court and people will tell disrobing her is dharma or right. And the visual proof of what will happen if he didnt fight with his heart, he get it on the thirteenth day of the Mahabharatha battle, where his sixteen year old son is brutally murdered by seven warriors inside the chakravyuha. Arjun thought the one standing on the other side is his brothers, his teacher, but none on the other side thought Abhimanyu the sixteen year old was Arjun's son. He was their enemy and they didnt hesitate to butcher him.
I am happy that CVs did a good job today in highlighting this. Not just Adiya, but Arshad too. Yes Arshad has his flaws, but he is a doctor first and he says his religion is humanity. He doesnt run for Zoya first, the child is his priority.
But CVs showed why Aditya is over and above Arshad. Yes Zoya is most important to him. Her safety is of utmost importance to him. But he asks Arshad the whereabouts of Zoya only after Arshad completes his duty as a doctor saving the child.
Zoya what to talk about her. When Aditya spoke what his religion about, she too spoke what her religion is about. Was there any difference. Actually. Because religion doesnt teach you fight and kill in its name. If Aditya stood in front of the fanatic crowd, Zoya too stood in front of the crowd like a tigress.
If that was not enough when Aditya was fighting she asked the crowd to fight their battle than expect someone else to fight for them always. She knew he had come for her, but then she also knew he will fight to protect everyone including her. Yes why do religious fantatiscm take shape. Because of some ten percent hate mongers and rest ninety percent staying silent expecting someone to sort out everything. No it is not possible. Every person has to stand up. One of the teachings of Bhagavad Gita is to tolerate injustice is a greater sin than doing injustice. Stand up. Fight the battle. I would say a beautiful well etched episode with a good social message on what our country has always stood for. Humanity, celebration of humanity embracing good in all religions.
PS: Aditya was completely in charge till Zoya asked about Arshad. Zoya's worry was normal because after being in the mess she was in and suddenly when she saw Adi her fears came out. What has happened to the man who dropped her in that place. Is he safe. But that one question distracts Aditya for a second and that split second gives him a serious injury at the back of the head. One thing is sure, if Aditya loses Zoya, if she too leaves him for other man he wont be able to survive. Because Pooja have almost sucked out all the goodness in him, life in him. His life hinges on Zoya.
Arshad called Zoya his fiancee. So engagement of Arshad and Zoya will happen. I feel Anjana might again tell something to Zoya which might force her to take some decision. I dont know, but engagement of Arshad and Zoya is on cards. But what Arshad or even Adiya doesnt know is Zoya is Aditya's wife. What is seen doesnt happen and what happens is not seen. Arshad called Zoya his fiancee and stood there. For Adi she is his life and it was very evident the way he ran through the barricades.
