Part 13-
Adi stopped at the door as he watched Zoya pray. The past few weeks had been hard on both of them and he couldn't help but feel at fault, all he could hope was that this gift would pave the way for him to fully understand what he felt for Zoya along with helping her move forward
Adi turned around when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Madhu beckoned him into the living room then shut the door behind them
"I need to speak with you, I know it seems kind of weird to have Zoya's dead husbands mum speaking with you, but I really care for Zoya, her biggest battle is over, Mahi and her helpers are in prison and Mahi is facing the death sentence, I will never be able to do enough to make Zoya forgive me for Mahi's doings, but I hope in time we will get there, her heart is pure and so is she, I dont want to see her get hurt again, so if you are serious about her, if you love her, tell her, you won't ever meet anyone as good as her"
Adi turned to see Zoya open the door a smile on her face "Shall we go see your mum now"
Adi nodded "Sure, come" Madhu's words playing heavily on his mind

"Ma" Adi called making Anjana turn around
"Adi, Adi you'll never guess who came to see me today, it was Harsh"
Adi was about to step forward when Zoya grabbed his arm, shaking her head
"What did he say" Zoya asked quietly
"He loves me Zoya, he wants to try again, that's all I ever wanted" her smile was large, the pain of the past few years so evident in her stance
Zoya turned to face Adi, pulling him outside the room "Maybe this is the time now that he deserves another chance, I know he made a mistake but its up to her to decide what to do, I know you love her, but her mistakes must be her own, Allah will guide her, I promise" she nodded, cupping his face
"Im just scared Zoya, I dont want to see her hurt again" he shook his head, his hand resting atop hers on his face
"But now you and I are here to keep her strong, you wont have to go through this alone, I promise"
Adi smiled "Why are you so good"
She giggled "Bas, esi" she shrugged, "Now come on, tell her you're okay with this, this is the time of new beginnings, for her, for him and for us"
He gulped "For us"
"Yes, for us too" her smile was infectious making him smile back as he walked back into the room to speak with Anjana

Zoya glanced up at Adi as they sat on the park bench, her head resting on his arm, her hand in his "I never thought throughout all of this that Allah would ever gift me someone as good as you"
He inhaled sharply "Why do you have so much faith in Allah" he peered down at her
"Its simple, I am here, I am alive and the pain in my life has only served to make me wiser, and I am happy, I finally got a family, maybe a dysfunctional one, but a family afterall" she laughed
He turned to face her "What if I said I remembered what you said, just that I wasn't ready to say it back"
"I know you remember, and thats okay to not want to say it back, I love you, for now, that's enough until you want to love me back"
He shook his head, pulling her closer to him "It isnt that I dont, its just everything I love, it, it goes away, and I dont want to lose you to"
She pointed to her chest "Lose me, with my big mouth you'll hear me a mile off, if you never take the chance, you'll never know, for your whole life you'll be wondering what if I told that beautiful woman that I loved her" she smiled softly at him
"I" he paused "Not like this, ill be back"
"Wait, where are you going"
"I said ill be back" he ran off

Adi pulled Zoya up, kneeling down before her, he cleared his throat "I have never and I will never meet a woman as loud and as annoying as you"
Zoya gasped loudly, her eyed twinkling with humour
"A woman who stares into the fires of hell and can still smile, a woman who still believes in happiness even when most of her life has been full of pain, you taught me how to love again even when all love is gone, you taught me the importance of everlasting faith in a God we may never know exists, you put your life on the line for me and expected nothing in return, you gave me you when I never deserved you"
Zoya went to cover his mouth, but he grabbed her hand instead, shaking his head
"If I had never met you, I never would have opened my heart to the possibility that love exists, that I could be happy again and that life is to short to be anything but happy, chances come by rarely and if it is in our power we should always offer a second chance and that's why I want to give you the gift you deserve the most, as you said before you have a family now, a dysfunctional one, and I want you to have a family in every way, so you're tied to us in more ways than just an emotional bond, even though thats the only bond that matters, so" he pulled out a small box from his pocket "If you want to share your life with a man who will drive you crazy, argue with you about everything but cherish, protect and love you more than anything, then marry me Zoya, give us both the family we always dreamed off"
Zoya squealed, pulling him up she threw her arms around him "See, didnt I tell you Allah gave me the best gift of all" she cupped his cheeks "Allah gave me you, as I said before sab Allah ki marzi hai, and in Allah's wish for me is you"
Adi slipped the ring on her finger, kissing her on the forehead "You are my everything Zoya, I will be a better man for you"
"Bewaqoof" she hit his arm "You are already the best man you can be, because you're my man"
He laughed as he hugged her again, they had finally made it through the bad and returned stronger on the other side.
Zoya and Adi could finally be one, protecting and loving eachother in ways unknown to the both of them, and it all started with a contract.
