Is this the real reason why abhishek dumped her?

Post engagement, Amar Singh is known to have told the Bachchan family that Karisma has had a shady past & is unfit to be their daughter-in-law. The Bachchan family refused to believe it, considering Karisma is from the Kapoor family. But Amar Singh is known to have posed as someone else & is known to have convinced Karishma's mother- Babita to show him her daughter's shady side. The Bachchan family was distraught to hear the secret conversation between Amar Singh & Babita. It was after hearing this phone call that Abhishek called off the marriage( I hope I have dropped several hints in terms of what I mean by shady past).
The second & more public version is that Babita asked for a pre-nup. Babita wanted exact details of the wealth that Abhishek will inherit from his father. The Bachchan family was tired of Babita's constant meddling & then decided to call off the marriage.

B. Sr of ALL PEOPLE, talking about sanskaars etc is HOWLARIOUS seeing all the dirty, heinous BS HE has been upto all through these decades!!! But it's a sad & practical reality, that most of these so-called sanskaari & elite families think & act this way. They very rarely marry actresses since all of them do BS like this because the system ensures they have to otherwise they don't have a career.

It's very sad for poor Karisma who gives genuinely nice vibes & unless Jr is some excellent actor, when I saw him on RWSG which was done much after their engagement broke, I saw a man very much in love & quite broken. I've a feeling Jr-Karisma would've been truly happy together & a beloved BW couple. I loved them! :(

Who are we to decide if anyone is fit for marriage? I am all for second chances. I just think its a bit unfair Babita gets all the blame for Karishma's failed relationships. Karishma was very much an adult when all of this took place.

I do however strongly feel Aish and Abhishek make the happier, more compatible and cuter couple. This is not the biased fan in me speaking. They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Compare these!

Aish and Abhishek clearly have more chemistry in terms of companionship and just the enjoyment of each other's presence. Abhi isn't even looking at Karishma in many of their pictures.

Abhishek-Karishma seemed more like a business transaction than an actual marriage. Never really felt they had a connection or strong bond.

Karishma was was just in such a rush to get married she married the first guy that she could convince. It was truly said, she deserved better.

I dont think Abhi was in love with Karishma or anything. He always wanted to marry a successful actress I guess and the Bachchans also wanted their brand value to increase more. Probably they dated and liked each other.

But it's quite shocking how far removed the Bachchans are from BW gossip. I think these Babita stories are infamous and still they didnt know.

karisma being an escort is an open secret..everyone and their uncles know about it..so that one is deffo true plus babita was always greedy..someone who can force her teenage girl to being an escort..don't think anyone can top her in being greedy

abhishek literally struck gold with aish..and i don't say this coz karisma has been an escort..coz she has 0 mind of herown and her mom is greedy and cunning AF

There was an interview of Jaya Bachchan after Abhi and Ash's engagement where she talks about Abhi and Karishma's break up. She never mentions her name but basically implies that it was Abhishek's decision to call it off and how he never gave them a reason and just said it was done. One of the rumors was that every time Karishma wasn't getting her way she would threaten to give him his ring back until one day Abhishek had enough and just ended it all. But money issues and Abhishek's inheritance is the more widespread rumor about this.

Abhi and Karishma were dating for five years before getting engaged. It definitely wasn't an arranged marriage/agreement. Karishma was rumored to have had a nervous breakdown after it ended.

Lucky Abhi dated Rani when she was at the top, dumped her. Then called off engagement with karishma and married the most beautiful woman in the world Aish. I like all three women but Aish's beauty overpowers everything

It was the pre-nup. Babita had confirmed it. Not directly, but still very obviously in a Cine-blitz interview. It's also true AB JR broke off the marriage because not only was a pre nup unacceptable but it also showed the Kapoors lack of confidence in him achieving anything.

She went into a tirade of how she had to raise her daughter's all alone and how shabbily she was treated by the Kapoor family and her super flop husband had nothing to his name. She would never let that happen to her daughter's and but of course history was repeating with AB JR, who had nothing to his name at the time. She wanted financial security and for that AB JR needed to have properties/money in his own name.

Escort and other rumors are just hogwash. If the whole industry knew about Kapoor, then so must have the Bachchans before the engagement.
