its getting to much...the khans including akshay kumar and ajay devgn need to romance women their age. when will it stop??😕 Its almost to the point where i am so uncomfortable because my dad is their age and I am approaching these actresses age🥱

I think even in the 60s, the actors used to work with much younger actresses. So, apparently it isn't anything new.

The problem is that the same pairs get very stale and boring. Sometimes these actors have already done 4-5 movies with the older actresses. Apart from trying to be woke people, nobody really cares to see these pairs again for the millionth time.

The problems would be fixed if there were 40 year old female newcomers entering BW but obviously that's not the case. India is conservative and women are busy married with kids by that time and not trying to make glam actress careers.

its OK...don't watch their movies...watch the movies which have actors who are closer in age to each other...like Varun Alia, Ranbir/Ranveer-Deepika...there are plenty of movies to watch...avoid the ones making you uncomfortable and let the people who enjoy watching Khans/Akki/Ajay with the younger actresses...watch those movies...jiyo aur jeene doh

It's not uncomfortable provided that the leads don't get too intimate onscreen. Having said that, I do think that the chemistry suffers as a result of the age gap. I can't think of any old hero- young heroine pairing that had bona fide romantic chemistry.

It depends.

I found 20-year-old Deepika with a 42-year-old SRK in OSO weird (still watchable though because there weren't any OTT scenes) but if they were to work together again now that she's 32 and he's 54 it wouldn't look as bad.

The only pairing that I found uncomfortable to watch was Sanjay and Prachi in Policegiri. Looked like he was romancing his daughter.

They are actors who are doing their jobs and those you cited are very bankable at that.

Also seeing the flak Aishwarya received because "she wasn't acting her age in Fanney Khan", it's not surprising producers and directors would choose to have younger actresses alongside their hero.

This and the fact that actresses tend to retire or take a break after their marriage or after having kids so understandably they won't be as available as younger single actresses.

I dunno, sometimes I don't like it, like I am not at all digging this Akki-Kriti Jodi, but I didn't had any problem with SRK-Anu.
I didn't even mind the Rajnikant-Shirya Saran Jodi tbh.

For me important is the presentation and story. Like we had SRK, Sallu, Ajay and Akki getting themselves mocked in the movie itself for their age difference, I am comfortable because they are not trying to make the actors young, they are acknowledging the age difference and going on with it.
