Chapter 1: Break the Windows
Anika locked the door, shutting her concerned sister out. It was a relief, knowing that her sister still believed in her and her alone. The one thing that keeps a human going in a time of adversity is the fact that there are some people in their life who will take their side and stand against the world for them, till the very end.
But this was a moment when the fighter felt defeated, defamed and destroyed. She didn't want her sister to see this weak side of her.
That man had single handedly destroyed her. There was mangalsutra around her neck and sindhoor, all in his name, but he had refused her her rightful stature as his wife, she had to live a rakhael.
She had, to the world, become what her mother was.
Her eyes searched the roof and rested upon the ceiling fan. It looked much easier and she tied her ghungat on to it. She had only tightened the knot when her phone beeped.
Khanna Bhaiya.
It was a video, the video where Daksh poisoned Shivaay's mind against her. And she finally understood what was happening. She didn't pity or blamed herself for Priyanka's condition. Anything was better than marrying that monster.
But what could she do now? She had lost everything herself.
Her phone beeped again.
'Jo hua, usmein teri koyi galthi nahi hai. Par jo Shivaay Sir kar raha hai, woh bilkul ghalat hai. Raita samet lo Anika.
Ekk aakri baar ban jao na,
Woh Khidkithod Anika.'
For someone who had lost everything, that seemed like a riskless option.
