Watched the movie a week ago, but it's still haunting in my mind. Loved it!!!! Such a gripping slow-paced thriller. Technically the movie was perfect. Alia was not that great though, and she could've been replaced by any other actress. But Sehmat as a character was very-layered, and you feel sympathy and root for her character when she's even killing innocent people. Because the character was so much relatable. On face value, she seems like an innocent girl caught in bad circumstances, but she was also a clever and smart girl, who has survival instincts and knows how to get out of sticky situations. She was not an anti-hero, she was just a normal person like us, who have to make some tough decisions in real life which might hurt others.
There was no forced patriotism or jingoism in the film, but really it makes you think and believe that there is nothing bigger than country, not even humanity, when it comes to war. The movie made me question my priorities, such was it's affect. Though in the end, the message was simple that no one benefits from War.
In my opinion, Raazi is the second best movie of this year after October.
