Sanju Has Huge Weekend - Eyeing Dangal Record Again

Sanju did phenomenal business on its second Saturday and Sunday to rack up a huge second weekend of 61.75 crore nett which takes its ten day numbers to 262 crore nett. The film was dropping towards the end of the first week and its second Friday but made huge gains on Saturday and Sunday.

The film is now back in the race to chase down the collections of Dangal which is the highest NETT grosser for a film from the Hindi film industry. The totals are almost ditto after ten days with Dangal having 1 crore nett lead. Sanju will need an 11 crore nett Monday to keep the challnge up. The film is now crossing 350 crore nett for sure and if it was a holiday release its pretty certain that the 400 crore nett mark would have been reached.

Box office is so unpredictable. Two days back people were thinking that Sanju will not get past Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and now it's sure to beat TZH, and can even challenge Dangal.

It's not going to catch Dangal. BOI is so desperate for any movie to outgross Dangal as it's Aamir's movie.

This have good chance at PK though.

i don't think it can beat dangal record, but if it does, imagine for the first time ever Khans will be chasing a Kapoor for the record.

Is anybody still questioning the WOM? The weekend to w eekend drop is less than 50% coming from a record weekend. Weekdays without Christmas holiday were going to drop especially at those pevels.

Should cross Padmavat by Tuesday and 300 cr on Friday.

more power to team Sanju (Hirani/Sanjay/Ranbir), people loved the movie, and it deserves all the success. I am glad Sanjay's suffering and his side of the story is getting such a big response.
