I see lot of discussions about chemistry everywhere.
I feel a good chemistry that make a Jodi iconic is very rare. Kajol/SRK, Barun/Sanaya, Zain/Aditi - these are all iconic couples.
- Just because you have good offscreen chemistry, it doesn't mean onscreen chemistry will be good. Zain and Aditi are good examples of this. To begin with their off screen equation was nil but onscreen they were LIT. OMG what chemistry, that is what attracted me to this show.
- Just because both the ML and FL are experienced good actors, doesn't mean your on screen chemistry will be LIT. Experience can enhance it but it doesn't decide it. If this is the case there are tons of good actors and actresses with lot of experience and we should see lot of iconic pairs but we don't. Again AdiZa is a good example. Aditi was a little inexperienced at the beginning but their chemistry was still LIT.
- Just because a couple is good looking, it doesn't mean their onscreen chemistry will be good. Again good looks can enhance but it doesn't decide it.
- No actor or actress need to convince their audience when their chemistry is good. The audience will automatically be able to feel it when chemistry is good.
I have seen lot of actors convincing the audience that they have good chemistry or saying that if you are good in acting you can create chemistry with anyone. That is so not true. What all of them need to realize is, a good chemistry like the one AdiZa or Sarun has is very rare. It is something magical - combination of their personality, acting, looks, how they fit with each other, their acting and much much more. AdiZa is lucky that they found it at such early stage in their career that it was able to bring recognition to them.
I hate it when reporters ask the actors about this chemistry question. What are the actors supposed to say that they have none. In laalishq, Zain and Mahi were good but it was not a typical love story where their chemistry mattered - it was a one time episode about ghost rather than chemistry. In fact I felt no chemistry between the leads but it didn't matter to that story. In fact if this was a long series like NK and if I had not known Zain and Mahi and watched this episode, I would not have got hooked to it. When I started watching NK, I didn't know who Zain and Aditi were but there was something magical that got me hooked to them and I started catching up on all the old post 10 year leap episodes. The same happened with IPK 1. When This happens that is what is called CHEMISTRY
