Deepika: Takshak is not evil, he was vengeful and rightly so. Arjun had set the Khandava forest on fire to satiate Agnidev (He had consumed a lot of ghee in a Yajna and was suffering from a loss of hunger, so Krishna advised him to consume a lot of meat), and a lot of innocent creatures died from the fire. So Arjun was a bit of a prick, honestly speaking. 😆
Parikshit was the son of Arjun's son Abhimanyu, and he was singled out for revenge by Takshak.
The thing is, the Mahabharat is a depiction of the complexities of human nature and the multiple and intertwined angles of politics and administration. While the Kauravas were pitch black evil, the Pandavas were no saints.
But people in Indian society are used to seeing things in black and white. Therefore, in television presentations of the Mahabharata, Pandavas are portrayed as saintly figures. And since Takshak harmed a person from the Pandava clan, he is shown as evil. It's ridiculous actually 😆.
