This show is based on creatures from Indian mythology, there are reference of two naagas Anantsesha and Takshak but they don't have naagmani, the story is focused on naagmani but they don't even mention the Naagraj Vasuki, Vasuki is the Naga around Lord Shiva's neck, he is younger brother of Anantsesha, Anantsesha gave up Prakriti or Maya to be with the Lord and after 10000 years of tapasya he became a part of Mahavishnu, he is king of all reptilians but Naagraj Vasuki is the owner of Nagmani and he's the king of Nagas, Takshak was King of Sarpas but they do mention him.

Oh so they have picked up names from Indian mythology, I thought they themselves came up with those names.

I couldn't hear properly what was being said in that scene. Ruhi's Mom was warning her against whom? Thakshak Naag? And why exactly does Ruhi need to get the Naagmani?

Ruhi as Bela has not even mentioned Naagmani as yet which is why am waiting for Amrapalli to enter.

Actually sheshnag was d actual & original king of snakes but as sheshnag dedicated his life 2 lord Vishnu , he transfer his duties 2 his brother vasuki. Raavan's son meghnath's wife Sulochana was sheshnag's daughter.

Maybe in season we will see vasuki also but sheshnag & vasuki r not different vansh , as sheshnag & vasuki were real bros .

Sheshnag is protector of naagmani

Sheshnag is protector of naagmani

Anantsesha is King of reptiles that includes snakes

Vasuki is King Of Nagas, Nagas are basically Kobras

Takshak is king of sarpas

Anantsesha is too important to be assigned as a protector of a gem, Nagmani is just a gem and Anantsesha is a Lord, he is a part of Mahavishnu, Nagmani maybe a big deal in human world as it has healing powers but not significant enough to be protected by the lord, Naagraj Vasuki has always been associated with Nagmani

Even i wonder why they never mention naagraj vasuki

Even the song after ehich Bela was crowned was dedicated to vasuki but they never mention him

Anantshesha is more associated with Lord Vishnu and has ni relation to any sort of material things like Naagmani

Any way they have uaed Shesha and takshaka in earlier seasons too

They have associated Shesha with good snakes and takshaka with evil

Ruhi's mom was warning her daughter against takshak vansh or clan Naaga

In last season too they had shown takshak Naags after nagmani off which shesh vansh is a protector according to show

In real Shesha gave up his crown to vasuki and vasuki is the protector of snakes and the mani

Vasuki too has dedicated himself to Lord Shiva

Sheshnag is actually naagraj or king of all naags, I also asked d same thing from my father why vasuki is not mention , he said vasuki was never actual king infact he is acting king or prot ector who fulfilling duties of sheshnag, there is no vasuki kul as vasuki himself is under sheshnag.

Sheshnag actually being d king of all naags is mentioned in Ramayan also , when Lakshman got unconscious coz of meghnath's Shakti ,Narad muni mentioned him as king of nagas or naagraj getting wounded by meghnath.

Even vasuki got defeated by meghnath he complained it 2 sheshnag about it, Sulochana leaving with meghnath, then sheshnag said meghnath will be killed by me only as acc 2 some story meghnath made fun of sheshnag. Sulochana is said 2 be daughter of king of snakes sheshnag. Lakshman & Balram r said to be incarnation of sheshnag or king of snakes

Everyone is mentioned that sheshnag is king of all serpents ,not all reptiles,

As sheshnag is d main naagraj , naaglok was under sheshnag

Sheshnag has more responsibilities then vasuki , sheshnag not only serves lord Vishnu but he also balances earth , acc 2 mythology earth is kept on sheshnag's head so that it don't get disbalanced, even sheshnag also get incarnated whenever lord Vishnu take birth on earth.

Regarding takshak naag , I guess he is mentioned in Mahabharat as 2 build Indraprastha , Arjun burned khanda vPrastha which was ruling place of takshak naag, takshak naag vow 2 avenge Arjun , during Mahabharat war he did attacked Arjun but lord Krishna saved him , he later bitted king Parikshit grandson of Arjun.

Yup Takshaka is mentioned in the Mahabharata having an evil intention and mindset. He killed parikshit also his family and clan were killed in the khandav van fire which was set by Arjun so he took revenge by killing parikshit

Though it is also mentioned that he is a son of Kardu and Kashyap . That means he is a brother of Shesha and Vasuki

I am not saying that Anantsesha is inferior to Nagraaj Vasuki, I am saying he's too important to be protector of a gem, he is a part of Lord Vishnu, he was the real King of naaglok but he left his responsibilities to be with the lord, he devoted himself completely to lord, at times Lord Vishnu in his incarceration as Lord Rama wasn't free from the prakriti but there too Anantsesha showed his devotion by leaving his wife and not giving her a thought in 14 years where Lord Rama cried for his wife, Sheshnaag doesn't care about the maya to be King of naagas.

There is no kul as such of snakes, Seshanaag Kul is not mentioned anywhere, There are naagas mainly kobras and there are snakes or sarpas that's the only difference.

In Adi Parva Mahabharata there is mention of Vasuki as Naagraj and in Brahmapurana there is mention of Anantsesha as King of all reptiles, Takshak as king of Sarpas and Vasuki as Naagraj.

This show deals with Lord Shiva and Naagmani, I have never heard about connection between Seshanaag and Naagmani, but Vasuki has always been associated with naagmani as I mentioned so according to the plot of this show, Vasuki should have a role not Lord Seshanaag, I hope I am clear with this.

Yes vasuki is also naagraj but one of d king of snakes not d main naagraj sheshnag

Yes I agree with sheshnag & naagmani connection, as there is no connection , Ekta is obsessed by him but i feel here sheshnag is shown as kings of naags

Infact there was a film name sheshnag there was also some related naagmani
