Sanju Heads Towards Becoming Biggest HIT Of 2018

Sanju is heading to becoming the biggest HIT of the year as it grosses 39 crore nett on Saturday as per early estimates. This takes its two day business to 73 crore nett but its the demographics of the collections which suggest the biggest HIT of 2018. The tests will come on Monday and second Friday but the trend suggests it is set for a huge run.

The growth is 15% but that is not an issue as its more about where its coming from since yesterday morning. Some places opened with shows at 8-9k and now are treble that. The film is the sort where its not expected to get 2 crore nett in Rajasthan on Saturday but that is what has happened. If not 2 crore nett then very close which for this film is simply crazy.

The metros where it was expected to be huge are huge but the bonus is the B centre multiplexes which normally do not come on board so fast for these type of social dramas. It started with Sanju on day one. A similar genre like Dangal started behaving well in these places post the weekend in the Xmas period. Mumbai city was a huge 3.15 crore nett on day one while Delhi city was 2.85 crore nett. These are non Bahubali records for day one.

This is honestly insane. Sunday, it can cross 40 Crores. This should have released on Eid.

What is the highest single day for a film that is not Baahubali 2?

I'm telling you...my theater clapped at the end and whistled. This one is going far.

Rajkumar Hirani is the biggest brand in BW -- no two ways about it IMHO.

This one should have released on Eid or XMas. Hirani should have never moved. But you know what, it means even more if it can make the money without the holidays. 😆

This is incredible. People always love to watch a well packaged film. Time for young gen to start clashing their big films with khans films who do not even value their audience money and churn out crap on holidays

Outside Bahubali 2, the weekend record is with Tiger Zinda Hai at 114.9 Cr. This would at-least equal TZH, and possibly beat it. TZH had more screens, was a sequel and had Katrina Kaif. Just brilliant.

Am conflicted. On one hand I am happy for Ranbir but on another I hate that Sanjay Dutt's life story is making so much money.😆

I had no plans of watching the movie as I dislike Sanjay Dutt but now I want to watch it asap. 😆 I'll watch it thinking that it's a fictional story. Congrats to all RK fans.

Raju Hirani is truly the most creditable director in the country.
Ranbir has gotten a lifeline, and I hope he doesn't slip doing silly offbeat projects anymore.
