I can imagine people willing to kill just to work with Hirani 😆 He and SSR are literally the only directors who have managed to consistently make good commercial cinema.

I know people here don't like Rohit Sherry's film, but I think Rohit also has a perfect track record outside Dilwale

It's Rajamouli. Rohit Shetty will never have the kind of respect that Rajamouli and Hirani both command. As a director, he's simply nowhere close to them in terms of storytelling and creativity. There is more to filmmaking than what Rohit is capable of. That's not to say he's not aware of that or he doesn't work hard, but it's the truth.

Even I think rohit makes perfect entertaining commercial movies in his own space . I have loved all his movies except dilwale. I think even dilwale would have been good if rohit was not made to change the script

No Rajamouli 😆 Personally I don't think Rohit Shetty is a patch on Hirani or SSR. He knows what works and understands the pulse of the audience but he can never make a 3 Idiots or an Eega or Baahubali or Munna Bhai. Of course it's purely my opinion 😆

I understand that. I just feel both of these directors are all about the way they tell their stories, rather than the technical aspects of filmmaking. In that, they are both consistent. Hirani, of course, tells smarter stories that don't depend on flying cars to see them though. But they have similarities.

I am going to refrain from commenting on Rajamouli. Because I think Magadheera and both the Bahubali are cartoons and I would rather watch another Bhansali-Deepika drama. 😆

Rajkumar Hirani is the biggest brand in BW -- no two ways about it IMHO.

This one should have released on Eid or XMas. Hirani should have never moved. But you know what, it means even more if it can make the money without the holidays. 😆

But he has still kept Festival level rates, right? So, he has not missed out much. I think any film with lot of buzz and commercial content shud use the same ploy. They should use Festive rates. That will crush the advantage of Khans who take monopoly of Festive releases.
