For me, when you say wedding songs - these 3 are the ones to come to mind.

Manbhavan ke ghar jaye gori - Chori Chori (1956)

Here the heroine has fallen truly in love for the first time, but is all set to marry the man she once thought she loved. Sai and Subbulakshmi perform beautifully to Lata and Asha's singing, Shankar Jaikishen's music and Shailendra's lyrics.

Chal ri Sajni - Bambai ka Babu (1960)

This song just cracks open the heart and tears it to shreds, the powerful lyrics by Majrooh reflecting the pain that a woman feels on having to leave her family, friends and even her lover when she's fated to begin her wedded life. The ultimate "bidaai" song for me, masterfully sung by Mukesh and composed by S.D Burman.

Babul pachtaye haathon ko mal ke

kahe diya pardes tukde ko dil ke 😭

and

dulhan banke gori khadi hai

koi nahi apna kaisi ghadi hai 😭😭

Somehow the fact that the song is playing in the background makes it all the more heart-breaking. 💔

Koi sehri babu - Loafer (1973)

I love this song for many reasons - Mumu! ❤️, the dancing and the teasing, Farida Jalal looking every inch the shy bride, the way Asha Bhosle sings - main cham cham nachdi phiran 😆 and the tune by Laxmikant- Pyarelal. The quintessential saheli-teasing-the-bride wedding song for me!
