Now, Mumtaz. No one said she's perfect or that she's entirely justified. Going back to season 1, during the carpet task, Oviya intentionally pulled it on Julie, and I'm sure most of us agreed that it was wrong no matter the reason. Everyone makes mistakes, including the amazing Oviya. I pointed this out to give an example in the extreme. Coming to Mumtaz, I genuinely like her character. Even I noticed the difference in her expression when Janani became the captain. She did not congratulate as freely as Mahat, and I was able to sense a bit of ego there. Not denying it. But I felt like both of them put that past each other and have been normal after walking out of the confession room that day.

With the eggs issue, it was Janani who had the meeting about rationing and now it was her who wanted omelets as well. And I support Mumtaz on that. She was right, Janani took Nithya's side on that because she got offended. It was pretty clear.

Gaya3 once said, I can ONLY cook three times a day, and I will not do anything else, you guys can eat fruits or raw vegetables if you are that hungry, she particularly said *thakkali apdiye saapda mudinja kuda saapdunga.* And I don't see that kind of rude behavior with Mumtaz. She genuinely WANTS to feed all of them, and she has been doing so happily. I don't think she's taking advantage of cooking to control all of them. At least, it is too early to conclude that in my opinion. And she's very straightforward. Being blunt isn't wrong and besides, she's also making efforts to mend things between everyone, when she has no need to do so. I think she's pretty genuine and that she's not acting upon any hidden feelings for others in the house when it comes to the good of the whole. That carrot incident, where she said that she doesn't like carrot so others could eat was pretty sweet. Come on, none of them are her family members and she didn't have to. Like I said, she genuinely wants everyone to be fed and well.

So, I will never agree with the statement that Mumtaz is "equally" wrong. Everyone has flaws, but she's pretty straightforward about her point without any hidden agendas, and I stand by her in this episode.

Mumtaz's anger is same as gayatri's anger. Every one is different. So no point in comparing with previous house mate.

Mumtaz is nicer than gayatri doesnt mean she is as nice as oviya.

She keeps throwing on janani's face that she is the cooking team's leader. In a reverse scenario if JAnani had thrown that she was a particular team leader, Mumtaz would have literally walked all over her.

unless ponnambalam or ananth sir are made leaders she would have this problem with most other people.
