It is known to all that Filmmaker Ashwiny
Iyer Tiwari and the star of the moment, Alia
Bhatt are soon going to collaborate for a
movie. The yet-untitled movie is said to be a
slice-of-life drama that kicks off in the
second half of 2019. However, there is no
further detail available as yet except that it
has been penned by Ashwiny's husband,
Nitesh Tiwari and screenwriter Nikhil
Mehrotra who co-wrote Aamir Khan's
blockbuster Dangal.
Now, Peepingmoon has got some more
information on this Alia Bhatt- Ashwiny Iyer
Tiwari's interesting collaboration. We have
learnt that Alia will be playing a girl who
aspires to pursue her dream of singing. The
film is said to be the official remake of 2014
French movie, La Famille Blier which is a
story about love and compassion for one's
family.

shooting for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's comedy-
drama in 2019?
The hugely popular French drama which
received both critical acclaim and
commercial success at the same time, tells
the story of a 16-years old girl who lives
with her deaf-mute parents and brother
and discovers that she has the gift of
singing which she wants to pursue as it will
secure her a good career and a college
degree. However, her decision of going out
for singing doesn't go well with her family
which relies on her for contact with the
outside world on a daily basis, especially in
the running of the family farm. This puts
her in a painful dilemma as she neither
wants to let down her family nor wants to
leave singing.
The storyline of this film suspiciously looks
similar to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 1996
musical drama Khamoshi which starred
Salman Khan, Manisha Koirala and Nana
Patekar in lead roles. However, the main
difference between the two is said to be its
genre. While Bhansali's film was a tear-
jerker, this one is reportedly a light-hearted
comedy-drama.
Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya
Motwane and Madhu Mantena's production
house Phantom Films will produce this film
along with Anil Ambani-led Reliance
Entertainment. According to a source, the
script for the Hindi remake of La Famille
Blier has been changed and developed in a
way that will resonate with Indian
sensibilities and culture.

I like this movie but it's a very French movie with a thick French humour 😆
I'm curious to see the Bollywood version : Alia will ace it, I totally can envision her as the protagonist!
