This is my extra long essay on Parmanu right after I watched it. Bear with me, maybe I got carried away. But this is me.. that's always how I felt about my country.
This review is already there in the separate thread. So anyone who wants to get it removed from here, again feel free to do so.
But every Indian should watch this movie. This is a forum after all to express out thoughts and feelings about BW films.
I watched Parmanu finally and ne'er did I believe that it would be the best film, honest to goodness I've ever seen in a theatre. As it is I watch usually maybe one exceptional film in theatres a year and even during those, within half an hour I get all tired and fidgety. Consequences of watching films on the computer ya know...
But Parmanu was so well-made and the editing so crisp, it was actually like a thriller and I was on the edge of my seat throughout.
I was going to see this movie anyway because patriotic you know but it was a real treat to watch actually. The photography, direction, cinematography, acting and above all direction everything was top notch. This is the first film I've ever felt that could beat HW. I mean a 50 crore budget, imagine...
And esp loved the last part when the film talked about India being a Global Power now. I think this movie has come at such a relevant time when India is truly on the threshold of being a Superpower. And more than ever we need to recognize our enemies and our allies and identify the traitors within.
Also watching President Kalam made me feel so proud. And the level of statesmanship of PM Vajapayee. Like now it's all become a big circus and I realized that the media has dumbed down people so much with their endless rabble rousing and propaganda. Like I even recall the scene where Boman Irani was like "what's the point of having red beacon on the car if traffic won't give way"?
And today we've got award winning pea-brained journalists who will exactly harp of withdrawing security and red beacon privileges to our assets. Yes, they should have priveleges. There are bad apples everywhere but I'm proud of Indian unsung heroes.
CIA was shocked, They had so many spies. Defence Min George Fernandez was a CIA agent and another was Navy Admiral Ramdas. And out core group of desh bhakts never let any of these agents even get a whiff of the plans.
Also, I salute the scientists who could have taken better jobs with more money, priveleges and safety abroad. Yes I talk about safety.
Because there are so many traitor babus in India that do you even know how many Indian scientists have been killed by CIA?
And how our scientist Nambinarayan who would have made the cryogenic engine possible 30 years ago. Yes the same engine which we developed lately and now we send the entire world's satellites. Nambi was fixed by CIA in collusion with traitors in police and later to be Defence Min AK Antony.
And after being totallly demoralized in addition to being incarcerated and tortured in jail, he was finally given a little bit of justice recently by the current CJI Deepak Mishra.
Yes the same CJI against whom the Indian media paid from abroad, runs endless propaganda.
And last but not the least, I also loved the part where they stopped the detonation long enough for the wind direction to change so that no radiation would reach Pakistan. That was a master stroke. India is the only moral voice on this Planet. This is who we Are-even we cared about our enemies.
Can some other country boast of this? America that's bombed nearly 170 countries in its existence, sprayed deadly Napalm and Agent Orange on peaceful countries. No, it's only us who will care that not even a little radiation not even a little harm would reach our neighbour Pakistan.
Oh, and this is the second time after Breaking Bad when I felt really really inspired to focus more attention on Science. YEaaah Science..
