What we want versus what ITV think we want!

In my childhood , I could watch TV 3-4 hours at a stretch

But now I can't 😭

I myself am not finding anything on indian tv that is good enough to get me hooked. Whenever me and my mum have the tv on, we just watch pakistani dramas now, because for a long time we were having issues with our channels that we could only watch channels like hum europe until recently. And my mum actually got hooked to the shows. Now that we have sorted out the issue and have all the indian GEC's back to be able to watch, my mum said she doesn't miss indian serials now, because the pakistani dramas are much better, and easier to watch because they don't make you want to rip your hair out of frustration, or cause distress with overtly-dramatic, negative and illogical scenes/ plots. And I agree with my mum. The stories are far better. The acting is far more natural. And there are no messy story lines with zero stretching of the plot. I will say the only thing pakistani dramas really lack is romance. In pakistan, in accordance to islamic rulings, PDA or intimacy in public are unlawful, and so they can't portray those kind of scenes on pakistani shows and perhaps even their movies. It is romance and love stories that have me hooked to indian serials, but indian serials have awful show plot-lines and tracks. For that reason, even pakistani serials can't get me hooked only because they have no love stories like indian serials show with couple romance.
