I was replying a member in Ashish AT, about what I felt

about what Prithvi felt about Mrinal😆😆

ok...ok...won't confuse

My take on Prithvi's Love for Mrinal😉

Prithvi was already in love with his imagination

that's those deep eyes that he was searching for

Finally he saw it one day and was fascinated by it

He tried knowing the girl who owns those eyes

In process he got to see the pain in her

he wanted her to share it with him, he wanted to erase it for her

Then the betrayal happens and he comes to know who she is

yet he couldn't kill her

He lets her go alive, I think not killing her wasn't conscious decision

Just that he couldn't(like a reflex action)

Later he comes to know about the root of her pain

That is his own father

Now at this point it can't just his love/attraction for her

but also his Love/Promise for his father, responsibility as a son

and also his own righteousness(that MN was being wronged by Malwa)

Now love takes a back seat though it peeps now and then

He tries explaining her but she is not ready to listen

but he understands her, yes he gets furious when she tries killing his father

but then he reflects, he think he needs to show her love

that might change her, he tries showing her the world as Dharti

(in the process his love keeps getting deeper too)

She does melt a bit but finds the truth

here is where I had problem

Prithvi trusting Mrinal's sudden change, but then he does

He feels that she has changed

Sindhu spoils everything and again he stands before her

as representative of a nation that wronged her

He gets to see the depth of her pain when she slaps him

Now it's not just for him or her but for his Father, Brother and Malwa

he has to cure her heart

He goes to MN with a clear mind

now he is more focused and her reads her feelings

Like he says she could have killed him in MN darbar itself if she wanted

He sees her remorse, her apology for what happened to Bhoj

He sees her care for him, now her words doesn't matter to him

he can see through her feelings

He is now cutting the wound to treat it

Prithvi's love for Mrinal is predetermined

Call it destiny, call it empathy, call it duty

still he loves her and wants her to embrace love and let go of hate

In short he sees the hurt child Mrinal in her that everyone else fails to

(Having said all this, some parts needed more detailing

specially Prithvi's thoughts, given which this would have been more clear)

Mano you have captured Prithvi's feelings so beautifully and perfectly... the sparkling tension that grows between them comes out alive in your write up .

@Mano, I second this view. Thanks for the brilliant write-up.

I bet many may have had the thought of 'how PV fell in love with Mrinal?' and your write-up does a perfect job of articulating it.

I would have liked to have seen his thoughts about the journey of him falling in love with her. In the past few episodes he has suddenly started talking directly about his love for her but previously he hadn't, so there seems to be a disconnect in the 'editing' maybe.

Or maybe I missed it as forward all Kosha-Tailap-Jakka* madness 😆 and in all that forwarding may have missed something 😉

PV and Mrinal are so different...their ideologies, their background, their world view - I think had the tragedy not happened, Mrinal would have been like PV, which is why she is struggling because she sees in him what she was on the way to becoming (referring to little girl, loving music, dance, literature and using weapon only for protection of little bro). And PV knows this, hence he is trying to get the little Mrinal out.

*P.S.: Kings back in the day had many consorts and courtesans, so Jakka being jealous is a bit weird. I mean, it was normal. In fact, it was expected.

yes they should have given more detailing to Prithvi's thought process

but then him being suddenly open about his love is

post her visiting him in the tent to ask him to return to Malwa

there Mrinal directly asks him to prove his love

which gave him an opportunity to come out open too😆😆

then the care and love Prithvi saw in her eyes

when she was holding his hands helping him

There on Mrinal lost her hold completely

there on all her threats had nil effect on Prithvi

even after being imprisoned, he is still confident😉

So you to skip Taliap triangle

but yes editing was an issue since the beginning

and now we don't even know which parts are being skipped

due to this 45 eps limit

yes without this painful past Mrinal would have been similar to Prithvi

I feel Mrinal's love and anger for Prithvi's stems from the fact that

he is all that she isn't

he is so forgiving that it makes her look down on herself

About Jakku

the problem is Taliap's attitude towards Jakku

If Jakku was assured of Taliap's love for her

may be she won't have this much hatred for Kosha

I had seen serverus's question but I didn't know how to answer, because I too had the same question

How and why he loves her so much.

And we have discussed is many times, yet I haven't been clear with it as much am I clear now, thank u😛

I just know that he was looking for a girl who didn't fell for his valour or looks, he wanted a girl whose eyes have true love in them. And Mrinal is exactly like that. She doesn't love him for his looks etc, she is in love with his ideas, like him asking her to share her pain with him, or letting her go in Rangotsav or later where he saved her many times.Deep down her heart she's effected by these qualities of Prithvi. Which he wanted in his woman of dreams. He didn't know this earlier but now like u said he understands her feelings😉

Another thing is in the first episode he recited a poem

Don't remember exactly but the meaning was love is selfless where u feel happy in the happiness of others and pain in the pain of others, that's his idea abt love in general. So he doesn't love Mrinal for any quality as such or because she has done something great for him, he loves her the way she is and wants to heal her whether due to romantic feelings or because of moral obligation as the King of a kingdom who has wronged her not once but twice, it's both.

He is also unaware of the part whether she was cheating him during Dharti track. So he believes she too loves him(which is actually true😉) n hence he's trying to make her confess by first confessing himself openly 😆😆

For me biggest disconnect in his character was how much he knows abt the past. When did SD tell him about the crime. How did he react to this.

Now we know that he knows about the whole past. (That's wat is projected when he came to Sabha n takes the responsibility of all the wars on his head) but would have been nice to see his reaction.

Here scene was missing. Sometimes there are scenes, but still we don't know what he is thinking, due to lack of FBs or voice overs. eg when Dil Mei Jo Dard song seq was airing, we had scenes for PriNal n TKJ. TKJ was self explanatory😆 Mrinal's we got to know about what she's feeling through her FBs. But what was PV thinking? Was he heart broken abt for mrinal or because he was banished from Malwa?

Sindhuraaj case toh we all have discussed many times.

So it's editing😡😆

Now after many episodes has passed I understand his thoughts better than before. I think it's due to the fact that story is from Mrinal's pov. So PV's thoughts are not explored purposely. Even now if u see Mrinal gets FBs abt PV but PV doesn't have such scenes, but now he's more vocal about his love.

N of course he came to Manyakhet with a plan that was visible since the beginning but his plan really surpassed my expectations😉😆

This murti plan if we knew his thoughts before the fun would have been killed na 😆😆

Even now we don't know what is his exact motive behind getting himself arrested 😆😆

(Btw this time CVs have handled the unpredictabitity of his character very well. Like Gholil fight and PriNal sword sequence episodes. ) Hopefully they'll handel well after this as well😆

In short it might be done purposefully, Like thushi said maybe to give a confession scene at the end. Even if we don't get, it's okay as we have understood his side with story progression. 😆
