Yes to the last 2, but not exactly Juhi. She led a fairly upper-middle class lifestyle before fame too. Father was an IRS officer & mother was high-up in the Taj hotel chain, that's how her mother came to know about Jay Mehta & changed Juhi's life, lol.

Juhi called herself a South Bombay snob in an IV. She doesn't come across as a snob, though

He is. He was born into a middle class/lower middle class family. Now ofc all of them are extremely well to do lol. His sister too is married to one of the biggest builders/builder companies owner.

Akshay Kumar
Wiki says: AK's father was a military officer.
AK went to Bangkok as a teenager to train in martial arts. What poor kids could afford that? When he returned his father left him 'choose a carer'. Poor people don't have such luxury.
=================================================

Also, on others:

Rajkummar Rao
Wiki specifically says he is from a middle-class family. Was enrolled in countless courses, that were costly. Picked and chose colleges because he wanted better studies, family paid for this.
Not something a poor family could do.

Farah Khan
Father was a producer. He even gave Javed Akhtar a flat! Yes, they lost some money after, but in 80's farah was in college/uni, attending all kind of courses, making bands. Not the life of a poor kid.

There are, probably, more that claim they were poor but when you search, they were middle class.

Seems the only ones that were really poor were the older generations.. when they really had nothing.
Lata- I've heard they were poor and the sisters started singing because they had no money...but on reading..they were not that poor either.

Madhuri DIXIT says herself she grew up in middle-class family(so, not poor):
''I grew up in a middle-class family '

Sridevi:
Sridevi's own uncle confirms middle-class family and how tutors were paid forn her.
' Remembering and talking about Sridevi's early days, Venugopal said, "Sridevi is from a middle-class family and her mother faced a lot of struggles to get her into movies. Her mother took a lot of care about Sridevi's food, clothing, and other things. And Sridevi too was obedient to her mom. Sridevi hasn't had any formal education. When she got into films and was living in Chennai, a teacher used to come home and teach her.'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
ARB herself says she is from middle-class family and her dad was naval officer.
'I come from a conservative middle class family from Bangalore. I was younger of the two children, my brother being three years older. When I was about four years old my family moved back to Bombay. My father worked as a merchant navy officer.'

Anjs: No I remember long back Juhi herself saying that her mother knew the Mehta's or something (Idk how) and that she liked him a lot. Juhi herself has admitted that she was very reluctant to get married too. Her mother liked him + he's wealthy so must've thought it's a really good match for Juhi. Juhi didn't seem to think so, lol.

Ya Ash most definitely is from a very normal middle-class family. All the money in the family has come from her ofc, and their wise investments.

Jackie Shroff
- might have lived near slums but was middle class alright :

'Jackie, who belonged to a middle-class family '

His father was actually famous:

His mother was some rich Kazakhstan woman.

Farah, I have already discussed in another post : she is middle-class, was even upper class it seems, she is related to all ther IRANi family.

--------I am not going to continue Google searches.
It seems each one of those I have searched- baring Manoj Bajpayee- have come from middle-class circles.
(not saying Manoj B. is the only one, but he is the only one I have found, through Google search, that really comes from a low income family.)

HearMeRoar: I remember her calling herself a SoBo snob. In the same IV she also mentioned how she hung out with the rich crowd so maybe from there. Lot of bureaucrats/upper middle people have access to such folks but it doesn't mean they themselves are well-to-do like the crowd they hang out with. I can see Juhi as a snob though, lol.

Dharmendra is from a well-to do jatt famiy. He's from a traditional jatt family so they always had land. His Dad is originally from a village Dangon in Punjab, my phuphi is married there and some of his paternal cousins still live there. His dad was a school teacher and teachers were very well paid and respected those days so he grew up in Sahnewal village which he mentions as his hometown. And he had also got a govt job as a pump operator that time before he got into movies. Not your city life rich but that's how traditional village jatt families are.
