Episode starts with Meera still trying to block Vivaan but her dupatta gets caught in a chair and he brushes past. He looks at the decorations and hesitates before asking for the cake to be bought. Dhingras and Amaya are pleased, Meera is still angry, then Amar comes forward with his palms joined. Vivaan holds ADs hands and asks him not to say anything. He feels guilty for what he said to them, due to the misunderstanding regarding his mother. Meera's anger fades. Vivaan picks up a paper hat and half jokingly asks again, 'A birthday party without a cake?' Nimmo runs to get it, Amaya thanks him for coming and gives him a hug. Amaya looks at Meera and Vivaan turns to do the same. He looks at Meera, trying to catch her eye, but she turns away. (Aaaw. 😊)
Vivaan turns to the others and comments that the party is so quite. Prince goes to get more balloons. (He does not know how lively was it earlier.😆)
Meera can see that Vivaan is making an effort. He looks over his shoulder to where she is standing but she will not come to him. He turns away disappointed but Dolly brings Meera forward. (Aaaww, Dolly Ma understands her bache. ) MeerVaan stand together and Vivaan looks directly at Meera. His eyes never leave her face. When everyone dances to the bhangra music Vivaan even claps along...
SM becomes psychotic when she hears the music and raves about hitting people as if they were dhols. 😲...
Amaya gives Meera a party hat for Vivaan. Meera is unsure when Vivaan looks irritated but he allows her to put it on his head. Nimmo makes Meera wear a hat too and Vivaan never stops looking at her. Everyone dances around them and Meera is impressed when Vivaan dances too. (They are so cute. )
SM spies on the party. She prays at the shrine and asks God how she can tell 'this idiot' (Vivaan) that she killed his mother. She sees the Bhagavad Gita and decides to confess. SM walks into the party and tells everyone Meera is a liar. She admits killing Pammi Kapoor and swears to it on the Gita. Everyone is stunned but Meera gives her a tight slap across the face. It was a DREAM and SM is still spying at the door. (Did any one understand that because I am completely lost. 😕)
The family dance around MeerVaan and they are pushed together. 'Ishq Bulava' song plays. Meera's mangalsutra is caught on Vivaan's waistcoat button. She tries to remove it and he helps, both constantly glance at each other. After this her bangle is caught on his suit button. Once free they become self conscious, but then it is time to cut the cake. The candle is lit on Vivaan's cake and he only has eyes for Meera.
Meanwhile in a dark room, a women is celebrating a birthday too and her cake has the name 'Munu' written on it. Her face is not revealed and a tear drop falls on her hand. Vivaan's mother sends her blessings and wishes him 'Happy Birthday'.
Vivaan feeds the first piece of cake to Meera and she feeds him. He keeps looking at Meera even when he goes towards Amaya. 😆
SM calls Laali and asks her about Preeto, she wants her number. She also wants to know all of Meera's movements and plans. SM cuts off the phone while Laali is speaking but she is not dissuaded. She thinks, once SM takes her to London, she will see Laali's true nature. (Can they please fly to London now. 😳)
Meera walks into the kitchen. She puts her phone to one side and the cake on the worktop. Vivaan walks in while she puts out paper plates to serve cake. He asks why Indians get so excited about these plates. He smirks and Meera does not like it. She watches him use a tissue and asks why do the English love napkins so much? (Touche and I have to admit she is right. 😆)
This annoys Vivaan and he turns Meera towards him. He corrects her use of 'napkin' for tissue paper. Meera states it is not a sin to use different words and that is what she was taught. She tells him if he has such a problem he can use the tap and wash his hands. Vivaan is left speechless. (Oh Batman. Why do you provoke Sherni?. 😆 )
Not wanting to give up the fight, he tells her to serve on proper plates as they are more hygienic. Meera explains that paper plates have sentimental value. They bring back childhood memories of birthday parties where samosas, rasgullas, chips, pastries and chutney were served together, with a glass of cola and ice-cream. Vivaan looks scared and disgusted, then expresses the same to her. 😆
She asks, if he wore a mukhut (crown) like Queen Elizabeth, Vivaan tries to teach her the word 'crown'. 😆 Meera then asks if he ate somosas on fancy plates? She asks what the English word for somosa is and Vivaan tells her it is the same. She then asks, why do the English have so much pride if you can not even invent a word for somosa. (Be fair Meera, that would be like inventing an Indian word for cake. ) Vivaan looks exasperated but Meera continues and asks why he is advising her about birthdays when he has never celebrated. She bites her lip and realises her mistake, Vivaan is affected but controls his emotions. Meera wonders why the brake on her mouth never works. She apologises. She tells Vivaan, now that his birthday fast is broken he can give all the advice he wants, because he has the experience. ( So sweet! Meera thinks of the correct English word just for Batman. 😊 )
Meera goes back to serving the cake. She comments on how Vivaan seems happy knowing his mother is alive and has changed a lot. She offers him cake but Vivaan puts the plate down in anger and tells her sarcastically how happy he is. He is glad his mother is not dead otherwise he could not insult her or get closure. If she was dead he could never show her, her place. His words falter and loose confidence but he goeson to say, if she were dead he could never make her life worse than death. Meera can not believe what he is saying. (Neither can I. )
Vivaan tells Meera he is very very very happy and if she is satisfied with his answer. He walks out and she follows him.
Laali comes to the kitchen and takes Meera's phone. She goes to SM's room and returns a ring she borrowed for the design. (Will that ring be important later?😕) Laali boasts, she has all she needs by the grace of Mata Rani, but her real mother (Beeji) keeps taking things from her, but they will teach her a lesson. She asks SM what difference does it make if Vivaan's mother is alive, she will teach her five hundred different ways to prove Meera a liar. SM looses control and shouts that she killed Vivaan's mother. (Why is a London NRI suddenly speaking like a Mumbai taporri or don?😕😆)
Laali is surprised and then smiles at SM, who is afraid that someone knows her secret. Laali asks why she described killing someone in such detail and SM answers, so idiots like her can know once and for all that she killed Pammi Kapoor with her own hands. (How many times will she repeat this in one episode?)
Vivaan is walking through the hallway...

Laali tell SM, rivals have a habit of haunting you even after they are dead. Laali tells SM to stop playing big games and play games like a desi mother-in-law and most importantly, keep your sights on your daughter-in-law's phone. Laali gives her Meera's phone. (What are the writers trying to teach the audience with that advice? 🤔)
Vivaan comes to SM's room...
Meera searches for him in the house and wonders where he disappeared to. She thinks how could he speak of his mother like that and she will set him right...
Vivaan ask for SM's opinion on a business project and she tells him there is nothing to ask, it is a good project. He states a second opinion always helps, thanks her and leaves. She stops him by saying, if he were in London he would have signed many such projects. He reminds her of the project which bought him to India, Pammi Kapoor. Once he has insulted her and told her he does not care, he will not stay another minute. (We will see Batman. 😊 We will see. 😛)
When Vivaan has gone, SM looks happy and speaks aloud that Meera's phone will clear the path for her. 🤢
Vivaan is sitting on the parapet of the terrace and is not wearing his waistcoat and suit jacket. (That explains the blooper 🤓) Meera finds him and he stops her getting closer. He complains about the noise she makes, especially her chappals and tells her to change them. She ignores him and walks to him. He tells her to stay away, asking if she wants to push him over the edge. She tells him she wishes she could. 😆 She asks who he thinks he is. Is he the only knowledgeable one? Only he knows the truth? The rest of the world is stupid? (Very well said Meera. 👏) Vivaan tells her to close her mouth and stay quiet for a while. Or she will fall and be silent forever...(SHE is not the one in danger of falling at this point. 😆)...then Vivaan slips but Meera grabs him by the shirt.
She assures him that he will not be free of her so easily and if she dies, she will possess him and say sorry to the person who he curses day and night. Vivaan looks at her in awe. 😊 Meera blames herself for stopping him from going to London. If he fights with his mother, then God will put ten or twenty percent of that sin on her. She tells him it will kill his mother to see such hate from him. Then Meera pulls Vivaan back on to the terrace. He pulls her hands away.
As Meera walks away Vivaan grabs her hand and spins her around. She looks worried by his anger. He steps forward, taking her close to edge. He tells her that this time the decision to stay was his. She asks what sort of person can have peace by hurting his mother. Vivaan holds her by the shoulders and insists that he will. The wall behind them shakes dangerously. He tells Meera that his mother never fulfilled her duties as a parent and to hurt a mother like that will give him peace. As Meera listens to Vivaan the wall gives way and she falls😲...
Pre-cap : Preeto tells Meera that Pammi.K contacted her. Meera and Preeto are speaking to someone via video-chat or skype. SM tells Vivaan that in order to prove herself right, Meera would change a Pammi Kosla to Pammi Kapoor.
My opinion - Another well rounded episode. 😊
No matter what happens, Vivaan believes in Meera's honesty and that of the Dhingras. He is currently caught between two opposing sides and his guilt towards the Dhingras was sincere. MeerVaan's silent glances spoke volumes. They have reached a new stage in their relationship and can at least discuss matters they disagree on. Once again, Arjit and Aditi were amazing. 👏
