Why did the divorce papers come to Mumbai?

Zoya lives in Mussoorie, so shouldnt the paper go there? Why would it come to Yash's mum's house in Mumbai?

It was Yash's original address. I guess he had sent it to Zoya in Mussorie. But, they had got lost in the transit as the courier guy said that - the package was misplaced two months back. Thus, after they found it, they sent it back to the sender's address.
