Some thoughts based on our first full post leap episode!
Observations:
1. He doesn't like going home - when Purab reminds him of people waiting for him, he makes this outstretched hand gestures showing that he prefers to leave people waiting for him as it keeps his value high with them.
2. He doesn't value people - see above! Plus not bothering to remember people's names, being focused on money, asking for 10 lakh more for the simple act of placing a floral garland on a bust.
3. He's not awake in his own life - his own anniversary is the last thing on his mind. Does not indicate that he's got much invested in his "marriage" and its responsibilities and/or perks.
Conclusions:
-Emotions and relationships are unimportant to him. He tries to bribe Sunny with chocolate and toys, instead of guiding him based on values and love.
-He's an empty soulless shell. If all that matters to you is money and you believe that enjoying peace in life is a compromise for losers - your heart has gone missing or dormant.
-He's on autopilot - since he's not awake in his own life, since he's not living by his heart, all his decisions and choices are being made based on something other than his true desires, values and needs
Predictions:
-He is going to be jolted out of his zombie mode when the right catalyst comes along 😉
-His emotional self will re-emerge. That's the real Abhi, not this.
-He is not going to feel regret or remorse for a long long long time. He's far too disconnected from his own feelings and from any sense of empathy for others for that to kick in yet.
I mean I could say more but I'll probably mostly be repeating myself. I do believe Abhi is more complicated than he may appear; what he's done and what's doing may be blame worthy but oh there's so much more going on than just selfishness, no matter how it appears!
