The best comment which defines a superstar - No male star could eclipse her. Period.

Not in a movie, not anywhere where she shared a frame with anybody. All seemed XYZ when she was there.

What an impeccably well put together video! 👏 Sridevi looked magnificent in every frame! And the way she expresses emotions through those huge and beautiful eyes of hers. My god, never have I seen someone emote so well through their eyes. Such a goddess! Her legacy is unparalleled. I hope this industry never forgets her because she is one artist that is truly worth remembering for her sheer talent. ❤️

Such a lovely tribute and the perfect day to post this, so that her fans can rejoice seeing her best onscreen than grieve today. Thank you so much for posting this.

I couldn't recognize whose voice was that but what he said was absolutely right. You may find fault here and there with the film but you can't find a single fault with her performance.

You can even sit through some of the most ridiculous and forgettable films she has starred in just because she made them watchable. Rightfully called the first female superstar of India.Take her Bollywood films for instance. Except for Sadma, in which other film did her male leads get more exposure than her despite having the same length of role?

Even a film like Mr. India which is named after the male protagonist is remembered more because of Hawa Hawai, Kate nahi and charlie chaplin sequence. And I'm glad all her male co stars be it Anil Kapoor Kamal Hassan or Rishi Kapoor have graciously accepted that and said she deserved the accolades. Shows how secure and respectful her male co stars were back then unlike the male leads we have today.

I saw some clippings of Har Kisi Ko in the video and it reminded me of an article I read a few days ago. Feroz Khan had a lot of problems while making Jaanbaaz. He had got the title from Salim Khan and tried making twice, once with Kamal Hassan but couldn't due to his injury. He then decided to make the film the third time with Anil and Dimple.

When the film was finally made, the distributors pressurized him to somehow include Sridevi in the cast or else they wouldn't distribute the film. Feroz wasn't impressed with her Himmatwala performance but still gave in to the demand and approached Sri. She did not accept it because it was a special appearance and not a full fledged role. It was only when Feroz started convincing her in fluent Tamil did she say yes and realized it is not the length of the role but the impact of the role is what matters in a film.

Hence, one whole new song was written and one whole new character was written for Sridevi alone as Feroz's dead wife in the film and then we all know what happened. Till today, Jaanbaaz is known only and only for the chartbuster 'Har Kisiko Nahi Milta, Yahaan Pyaar Zindagi Main. ' That's the power of Sri. 😃

And eventually, this song led to the creation of Kate Nahi song from Mr. India where the makers of the film challenged Shekhar Kapur to present Sri better and more sensuous than what Feroz Khan had made her portray in Har Kisiko.

As the people above me mentioned, i'm still not over the fact Sri is no more with us.. it still seems unbelievable.

But Sri will forever live in the hearts of her millions of fans.. ⭐️

Also while on Janbaaz... besides the song, plus her performance as a drug addict (one death scene) stole the show from the leading lady Dimple and also the other item number by Rekha. 😉
