I was a part of IF during IPK times - a forum which had all kinds of FFs written. Where the lead girl was married to the villain. Where the hero was the villain. Where the lead girl was married to theguy's brother...All kinds of stuff, basically. Things which you simply CANNOT think of posting here in the IB forum.

NEVER had I ever heard of an FF being taken down because "fans didn't like it" It isn't just disrespectful to the writer, insensitive to the hardwork being put in but also just plain silly and WRONG.

Infact, I would request the mods to restore your FF and not set a precedent here for censorship which has never been done in the IF forum before.

Because if writers begin thinking ONLY of how the readers will feel about their work, that'll horribly limit their creativity and isn't that what IF is about? A place where we can be unabashedly, unembarrassingly creative?

Thanks for your kind words and your maturity, Risha. I agree that restricting creativity is in poor taste.

Actually I'm reading quite a bit about that piece of fiction recently, so I thought I'd just relay what actually happened. It was a satirical piece - I disclaimed it heavily as such, and it received a fair bit of love from the GKS fandom... let's just say Omkara was not shown in the best light... then imagine my surprise when it's locked for review? What? Fiction gets reviewed? I was thinking either this a joke or @BilliCat. wants to give me a detailed review😆 - instead I got asked to change a few lines surrounding Shivaay... imagine my surprise... the piece was most negative about Omkara! Hell, it even used Dadi as a villain... Shivaay was not a main character... he was a sidey! Obviously I refused, then I was suggested that they could move the piece to the ff section of IF - but that felt so unfair. Therefore I took it down myself, rather than compromising creatively. So moving on... let's move on. I appreciate everyone's concern on my behalf... pretty much on every ff writer's behalf, but let's let this one go... let's not let it happen again... let's respect each other's work.😊

Sorry to here that your work was taken down.

I never heard of taking an ff down from the time I joined IF.

I only read few ff' s here not really an IB fan.

But girl you really took it bravely.

It's your wish how you right or show. Be the way you are and never let yourself down.

I read that ff of yours in WP and it has no malice or degradation they are talking.

Just held your head high and tell them to take their gyan in other places.

Hey Kashish,

Sorry to hear that your fanfiction has been taken down. It seems to be as a result of incredibly petty resentments, and it is truly unfair to you and your writing. I haven't read the story myself, but I do hope, that for the sake of your creative liberty and your audience, that the mods restore it soon enough.

Honestly, IB fandom be taking it to new heights, every day.

I chose to take it down as opposed to let it be moderated to the whims of others. Thank you for the positive sentiment.
