Sri alleged that no opportunities were given to native Telugu actresses in Tollywood. "For the last 10-15 years, we are only watching North Indian girls as the heroine. Why not Telugu girls? A lot of people are saying that these North Indian girls who are coming from the other states, they will give them sexual favours and all. That's the reason people are showing interest towards these North or other state women. That is the only reason they are getting roles; because they are flexible to everything, and Telugu women are not," she said.

WELL I HAVE ZERO SYMPATHY FOR HER NOW...and please someone remind her that BW has always been ruled by South Indian ladies...those who are talented and have the looks(yes looks are important in showbiz if one wants to be on the screen and not behind the screen)they get work...its tough and there is a lot of competition and sometimes the deserving are also left out...that doesn't mean that one starts badmouthing a certain group of people...what if tomorrow a disgruntled struggling actress from N. India says ...that oh these south Indian women get work in BW because they are ready to sleep with every one...toh bhai zabaan mein lagaam de..

^She definitely suffers from verbal diarrhea. By giving these statements, she sidetracked the #MeToo movement in Tollywood. She did a couple of other stupid things too, and now everyone (including those who supported her initially) is mocking her.

But this was her stupidity, and it's not a crime. She does have my sympathy for having suffered at the hands of those men. She does deserve justice. Hopefully she will calm down and get her life back on track soon.

I am a North Indian and it has pissed me off that she considers North Indian girls having loose morals or ready to do anything...I haven't read the thread after I read that statement...I am indifferent towards her now...she is fighting for women who have been harassed by men in the movie industry...she should have kept it about women only because a man who wants to take advantage of the women..wouldn't discriminate between a north I and a South I...for such men women are just bodies that is all...so yeah I don't care about her any more.

When Telugu actress Sri Reddy decided to open up about her experience with the casting couch in Tollywood, little did she know that it would be the beginning of a change in the way her film industry treats women.
Sri went topless in front of the Movie Artistes Association to make the organisation listen to her demands.
Following Sri Reddy, several supporting artists including Sandhya Naidu, K Apoorva andSunitha Reddy spoke about their experience in the industry.
ecently, Sri Reddy organised a press meet, in which Sandhya Naidu, who has been working in films for the last 10 years, said, "Most of the characters I get are that of a mother or an aunty. They call me 'amma' at the shooting spot in the morning and ask me to come and sleep with them at night. One of them asked me what I was wearing and if it was transparent."
Another actress, Sunitha Reddy, revealed that they were forced to change clothes outdoors.
She said, "We have to change clothes outdoors and relieve ourselves outdoors. While the managers ask us to use the caravans of the stars, we are not allowed and are treated like worms. They use crude language and ask us not to lurk around."
At the press meet, Sri Reddy said that her protest against the casting couch will continue.

Sri Reddy accuses Indian Idol fame Sriram Chandra of sexual torture

Telugu actress Sri Reddy has dropped another bomb. The actress has been in the news constantly for making controversial statements against celebrities who indulge in sexual allegations inside the industry.

After making allegations against Tollywood film maker Sekhar Kammula, now the actress accused Indian Idol's Sreeram Chandra of sending her lewd messages on WhatsApp. Not just that, the talented singer had apparently been asking for some of her personal photographs. In whatsapp Chat, Sriram is also seen expressing a desire to meet her, while also making comments on her "butt. Sri Reddy, in her Facebook post, had attached screenshots from the chat history, in which, he was also supposedly seen describing about her private body parts.

The controversial actress shared the screenshots of their chat on her Facebook and captioned it, "Look at our Indian idol chat..shame on u sri ram..remove sri ram from ur name..u r not worth to have it

Sreerama Chandra Mynampati, hailing from Hyderabad, won the fifth season of Indian Idol and since has sung in Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada movies.

The singer is yet to respond to the allegations made against him.
