Colors TV's Dr. Aarambhi has been winning audience interest ever since the promos of the show have been released. Headlined by Aditya Redij and Aishwarya Khare, the show explores complex relationships shaped by love, duty, betrayal and control. Aditya’s portrayal of Dr. Vishwas has particularly stood out, with viewers closely observing the emotional contradictions and moral conflicts that define his character.
In an exclusive conversation with India Forums, Aditya Redij opened up about Dr. Vishwas’ journey and the much discussed perception of him being controlled by love. Addressing the emotional reasoning behind his character’s choices, the actor explained, ''Dr. Vishwas kabhi nahi chahte the ki wo Aarambhi se shaadi kare, but family pressure ki wajah se usne shaadi ki. Wo maanta hai ki wo boring hai, behenji type hai. And he doesn’t, you know, he is not really romantically involved with her. 10 saal ho chuke hain, saath mein bachcha bhi hai, but wo usse bilkul pyaar nahi karta. Shaadi ke kuch hi hafton baad wo Dr. Avantika se milta hai London ke medical conference mein. Aur wahan dekhte hi usse lagta hai ki ye wo ladki hai jiske saath wo apni zindagi bitana chahta hai. And that is how their relationship starts. They fall in love and they have a completely separate life altogether.''
''So Dr. Vishwas has two parallel lives. Ek life Aarambhi ke saath, jahan wo public mein ek bahut loving, caring husband hai, but private mein bahut controlling aur manipulative hai. Aur yahan, Avantika ke saath, totally opposite, yahan wo Avantika se bahut pyaar karta hai. But Avantika usey control karti hai. So it’s a completely different dynamic. Wahan wo control karta hai, yahan wo control hota hai. Aur wo control hota bhi hai. Kyun? Kyunki wo pyaar mein hai,'' the actor further explains.

When asked whether it is fair to say that men can be controlled in love, the actor agreed that emotions can influence power dynamics in any relationship. Drawing a parallel with real life, he was asked if he ever feels controlled by his wife Natasha. To this, Aditya responded, “Main maanta hoon jahan khushi hoti hai, wahan thoda give and take hota hi hai. Right? Aisa nahi ho sakta ki you are not seeing it that way. You are not seeing it as control. It’s not control. It’s just love.”
With its morally complex characters and evolving relationships, Dr. Aarambhi continues to spark conversations, and Aditya Redij’s honest insights add further depth to the story unfolding on screen.
