October:Not a film review.

I have been on this BW forum( on and off )since SOTY release.That was the time I have discovered this section of IF and was quite amused by the environment of this forum and by that I mean bashing and trolling only.Like many,I was not sure whether it's a place I'd like to be in coz of the constant mocking,unnecessary bashing,Certain member's constant BO collection related statistics,calling every other member a MID
.I have seen bashing,been part of fan wars that too 2 of the most popular forum of IF but never did I see members bashing MODS or asking for WL raise,so yeah those were my 1sts..

Before this,how much I liked a film or disliked,I would only share it with my cousins if were together or if randomly a topic pop up about it..But after coming to this place,I saw people sharing their opinions about a film and you know the rest how it is ..

At 1st,I'd only read quietly but it didn't take much time for me to post here.Mostly in Varun related topic.

I am a full time SRK fan and a part time Shahid Kapoor fan.I had no other favourite nor I hated any actor except I had dislike Sunil Shethy(Reason being he always gave me the vibe of a person who doesn't take bath😆)
And that was all about it till I watched Varun..

Since SOTY was the reason why I entered this forum,I'd often find myself checking about that film.Those were the time when this forum was high on Sid and bash VD(as if now they don't)
But what I thought he is the guy who is putting his heart into promoting the film.Where other 2..Oh well!(I give credit to Alia that I like her now..)
But boy!That boy,didn't disappoint..so much that at the end of the film I was rooting for him and cursing Kjo,why?Varun fans would know..

That was the day and this.Though many things have changed,where at 1st there were few fans of VD,talking about him and since there were no topic been made for him this calling him irrelevant,where now we have plenty of topics made by non-fans / fans to celebrate our own agendas.

Today was my 2nd time in a theatre in India and this is the 1st time me watching a Varun film on big screen and I am glad that I choosed to.
You may call me a bias fan but that's not true..
I am a fan by heart..The moment my heart is not with a film,I am not a fan..no matter if that has my favourite in it or not.
I want to thanks Sujit Sarkar(Sir,you made a Bengali heart proud today) that he thought Varun was capable enough to play *Dan*.I bow to the writer for whom I have nothing but respect and last but not the least,Varun..
Words would fall short to describe you as Dan.
Varun,you have made me a fan long back but today,in true sense I thought you earned me as a fan for life.I may or may not watch your films in future like I do with SRK films but you'll forever remain in my heart..

October is not an art film and I don't know the criteria of a niche film.Nor it's a film you can compare with any other "different" film.For me,October is a film of your life.Those who says,it's not a film for all,that's so untrue.Truth is that it's a film you'd be able to relate with at some point of your life if not already.October ain't a love story and Life too,is not all about love but how love touches our soul at some points of our lives.
October is not a slow film but it maintains a certain environment that suits that certain time of life.A time that I wish no one has to face..
From knowing nothing about medicine to enquiring everything about medicine,from helping yourselves in a hospital to without realising helping others,giving so much of yourself to one that you hardly have time to think about yourself,that's October.

I read a certain tweet where the poster said about the actress of the film been in ICU and audience being in coma and many find that laughable.At 1st,I found those annoying but after watching the film I thought they might be in a place to laugh about it coz if they were in a situation like in the film or ...be in a place where you have to see your close one getting treated..
Well..I am sure they would not have any reason to laugh..
This is my 2nd visit to India and not for a happy reason..Since I am constantly sitting at home,my ma wanted me to go out and I choose to use the time watching this.Through out the time ,I felt myself numb,not moving coz I am in a situation like this..Where.. Umm.. where It's all so uncertain. And that sudden ending of the film didn't help much.May be endings are always this sudden,cruelly sudden..

That was quite a rant..So at the end(if you are still reading lol) I'd say,this film is nothing like what your favourite actor did but the real take on a important part of your life,when you get to know LIFE,your relationships,your own self.If you want to with a sincere heart,go give it a watch..

and This is for VD.We are proud fan of yours.No showing off to others,we truly are.Though verdict is yet to be out but even if it flops,as a fan,for me this is you for the 1st time showing what you are..You have 9 success so far?And this is your 10th film.1+0=1.This is a new beginning of a beautiful journey ..Mark my words..This going to be even more beautiful for you and us fans.
All the very best VD for everything. Even if this is the fall that had to happen,what a beautiful fall..just like the flower *Shiuli*.<3
