And after forever here comes the 4th Chapter. I know it took me some time but only because this story is finally shaping up and I hope you will enjoy this one. Please forgive me the delay.
Chapter 4
Gauri woke up and it took her a while to get used to her surroundings. She tried to stand up but her head hurt. She was in some kind of Bedroom and then she saw him.
Kaali Thakur sat across the Bedroom on a Chair and watched her. Covering herself with the blanket Gauri tried to find a way out or a weapon to use against him.
No Need to look for anything Gauri...I removed anything that can be used against me. You see you are not the first Woman trying to hurt me..."He chuckled and Gauri turned her face away. Seeing him made her feel like throwing up. She kept starring on her Hands when she felt his Finger lift up her chin. She pushed him away and walked to the farthest Corner of the Room.
"You have no right to touch me... Gauri watched him sit down again while he took out his Gun.
Carefully caressing it he looked at her as if his eyes undressed her slowly. His eyes were full of lust and the smirk on his face indicated what he was thinking of.
"Oh dear...The more you fight back the more I want you...You are like the forbidden apple in paradise...You see all this while Om had you under protection; keeping you away from me. But I am not as patient as I was all these years ago...His voice turned colder with each word and Gauri shivered. She knew he was a dangerous man, someone who could easily kill her and her child. To survive she needed to fight, fight against someone who owned the Game.
But that someone never met Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi.
Omkara! Om Wake up please..." A voice called out to him and Omkara slowly opened his eyes. He was in a Hospital and hovering over him were his Brothers Rudra and Shivaay. Seeing them after over a year was too good to be true and he smiled under tears.
"Shivaay, Rudy...How have you been? They glared and moved forward at the same time to hug him. After he started to work with Kaali he had slowly pushed them away so they wouldn't become targets. Especially since both of them were married as well.
Gauri. His Mind screamed her Name and he tried to get rid of the tubes and the IV.
He needed to find her, he needed to find Gauri and save her and their Baby.
"Om calm down what is wrong with you! You have been shot you need rest. Shivaay tried to reason with him.
"MY WIFE HAS BEEN TAKING BY THAT MONSTER...Shivaay I need to find her...Please...Please...Shivaay... Shivaay was shocked seeing his younger brother in tears. He had never seen Om this scared for anyone ever. And he knew whoever had taken Gauri would suffer a fate worse than death.
"Listen to me! Shivaay pulled him back down to the mattress and made sure he stayed down.
"We will Find Gauri. She will be safe I know her Om.
"Yes Gauri Bhabhi is a fighter, else she would have left your stupid ass a long time ago. Did you really think we wouldn't notice Om...your addiction and the way you got your drugs? Rudra looked at his Brother with tears in his eyes. HE had always looked up to Om and after seeing him ruining himself he wondered if he had participated in his Brother's downfall.
Seeing Rudra's face Om stayed still and pulled him closer. He hugged him tightly.
"I am so sorry Ru...So sorry for failing you...I just needed a way out of feeling anything...and that was the only way. My Art wasn't enough anymore and Mr. Oberoi and his affairs just gave me the rest. How could I see my Mother suffering If I could make my pain go away?
"You should have come to us. Talked to us. We are ShivOmRu don't you ever forget that. We would have found a solution...Shivaay said and placed his Hand on Om's Head who looked at his Brothers and felt ashamed.
"I ruined everything. My relation with you, with Gauri,...Gauri...She stayed. I treated her like crap, I was an asshole yet she stayed.
"Because she loves you.
"That Love only brought her sorrow...And now Kaali Thakur has her. What if he touches her? What if he hurts her...Guys she is carrying my child...What if he hurts my Baby...Om broke down in his Brother's embrace. To say they weren't shocked would be an understatement.
Gauri being pregnant changed the whole Gravity of the Situation.
"We need to get her to safety and then Kaali will be punished by the Law Om.
"NO! I will kill that bas***d...I will kill him for trying to hurt her. Shivaay...She is my Life...She is my everything and I will be doomed if I let him take her away from me...
Shivaay began thinking. There was a way out of all of this. A way which would hurt his Brother and Kaali but would save Gauri.
He excused himself and made a few Phone calls.
"Om...I have an Idea and you will have to do exactly as I say.
Gauri looked at Kaali Thakur and took a deep breath she tried to fake a smile. " Well, I am not something to be taken. I am something you have to earn Mr.
Intrigued by her sudden change of Mood Kali couldn't help but smile.
"Now I know why Omkara was so fond of you...You sure have a sharp tongue Mrs.
Once again his smile made her want to spit into his face but she had to be smart.
"Well I am an Oberoi after all. So tell me what is your business with my husband?
Kaali laughed and walked up to her. He didn't touch her for he saw her flinch a little. No matter what kind of Monster he was, he tried not to take unwilling women to bed.
"I am surprised you don't know. I thought you and Omkara had the perfect Relationship. He mocked her and clearly hit his target for Gauri's eyes filled with tears. Her Hand unconsciously touched her abdomen. "Well you are mistaken Mr. Thakur. Me and Omkara are far away from being perfect.
She sat down again and tried to not let this man see her inner turmoil. Bad enough she had been honest. What if he would think he could have her and Om wouldn't come to save her?
Please...Om come and save me...Save us, She thought and hoped he would hear her somehow.
Kaali studied her face clearly and saw that she hoped to be saved. But he intended to get what he wants from her else no one would leave this room, or this building alive.
"Why don't I tell you what your Husband and I have in Common.
Om felt as someone was calling out for him and he knew exactly who it was.
Gauri, Just wait for me I am coming for you...He thought and looked at his Brothers. They and some other men were discussing their Plan when he felt the ache in his heart. Not knowing where his Wife and their unborn child was killed him. He knew a few of Kaali's places but not the Main base. Where he lived under the pretext of being a common man.
As if Sensing Omkara's Rudra walked up to him and placed a Hand on his shoulder. Despite the fact that Om was elder to him, Rudra was his support right now.
"She will be fine. Don't worry our plan is bulletproof.
"I know we can make it but at what cost? My child will come into this world with the possibility of not knowing me...He stopped himself from speaking further. It hurt him to even think of that outcome but he had to be practical. The last two years taught him that being rational could save him and his Wife. Maybe she would feel bad for what he and his brother's had planned but for him nothing was more important than their safety.
"Om...Don't talk like that please. You will save Bhabhi and you will be the greatest Father. Your child will know and love you more than we ever could. Rudra said and Om finally managed to smile a little, a smile that didn't reach his eyes yet warmed his heart.
"After marriage you became wise, I must thank Bhavya the next time I visit.
"You will? The Hope in Rudra's Voice broke Om once again. He knew his brothers were hurt when he stopped visiting, let alone calling. He had wanted to keep them as far away from his life as he could. Thankfully Kaali wasn't interested in his Brother's, only Gauri was his target.
"Om, Rudra. We found her. It's Time... Shivaay walked up to them and handed Omkara a gun.
Looking at his Brother's his strength came back and he forgot that hours ago he had been in the Hospital due to the fact that he had been shot. Maybe the adrenaline made him feel powerful.
Taking the Gun from his Hand, Om checked if it was loaded and then smiled; a wicked smile.
"Let's go get my Wife back.
""Why don't I tell you what your Husband and I have in Common.
Gauri looked up and hopes to finally find all the answers. She had to know what Om had kept from her ever since they met. Seeing the interest in her Eyes Kaali smiled and messaged his Servants to get the Dining hall ready. When he received the okay he stood up and opened the Door.
"Follow me. He said and Gauri shook her head. First you tell me everything about my Husband's connection to you. God knows where you will take me... She said; her eyes challenging his. To say he wasn't attracted to that fierce woman would have been a lie.
She was strong headed and knew what she wanted. She didn't whine nor did she surrender to him. Truly Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi was a Woman every Man like him desired. She could be Equal to him.
"I will but I would like to discuss that over dinner. I am sure you must be hungry.
Surprised by his concern she realized she was indeed ravenous.
"Follow me. He said again and this time she did. They reached the dining room where a feast had already been prepared. To say Gauri was shocked would have been an understatement. That Kaali was truly insane, kidnapping her, trying to assault her yet giving her dinner?
They sat down and Gauri suspiciously eyed the food. With a sigh Kaali began eating first and Gauri did the same. After the first bite she didn't hold herself back anymore. The Meal was delicious and definitely prepared by a Master Chef.
"Is it good? Kaali asked and watched her. He was truly fascinated that this woman didn't pretend to only eat salad, she had a healthy appetite and once again he envied Om for having her first. A Woman like her would be an amazing Wife and Partner in Crime, he thought. Though he didn't believe in marriage and fidelity.
"It is. A soft smile adorned her lips and Kaali was truly lost in her beauty. He knew that he had to have her...even if it would have to be by force.
"You said you would tell me everything. SO start. She said while looking at him with something a keen to boldness, her smile left her lips. He could sense that her fear wasn't as big as her curiosity.
"Omkara Singh Oberoi is one of my peddlers. He was a drug addict and when he tried to leave he hit a girl with his car. After that I made him work for me as my right hand. He is my best peddler. Everything was fine until...He stopped and looked at her.
"Until what? She asked still shocked by his revelations. She had known from Omkara himself that he used to take drugs but that he was a supplier shocked her. All these years she had thought he stopped. If not for himself at least for her...to know that he supplied innocent and lost children with drugs made her feel sick. How could he? Wasn't he able to see himself in those kids? How could he not help them? Why drag them down further? What made him so powerless?
"Until you came along.
"Me? But he still works for you, so How can I have been any disturbance.
Kaali laughed and Gauri got angry seeing he was laughing at her.
"Instead of laughing how about just talking?
"Well after he met you he wanted to stop but I couldn't let him go so I told him he could leave...If I get you for one Night.
Gauri stood up. "EXCUSE ME? You asked him for what??
Kaali laughed and stoop up too walking over to Gauri he caressed her Arm which she whacked away. She glared at him and took a few steps back.
"I asked for a Night with you...So he said that he would marry you, and that you were off limits. You are the reason he still works for me Mrs.Oberoi. His Love for you is the reason...He knew what I would do to you if he would have agreed.
So she was the reason that made her Husband so powerless? She was the reason he had to deal with drugs, just to keep her safe from Kaali? Gauri closed her eyes in pain and fell on her knees.
She was responsible for the reason he was lost in the dark. How could he still love her?
How could he love her that much? How could he sacrifice himself for her?
Now she could see it clearly. All the times he tried to be aloof. All the times he tried to stay away, tried to hide his true feelings...Suddenly it felt like all the times she saw him turn sad or hurt when she would be mean to him were true. Back then She felt like maybe she was imagine things but now she knew it were his true feelings...Just like the times he would carry her to their Bedroom when she would fall asleep in the car. Many times she pretended to sleep through and to forget but she didn't. She felt him kiss her, she felt him caress her, telling her he loved her...All those time she felt she was dreaming. She was too scared to be hallucinating that she refused to open her eyes. And knowing that all the pain he inflicted on themselves was to keep her safe made her love him even more.
"Om...She said while covering her face with her Hands; crying not caring that Kaali was watching her with a smile. He enjoyed her pain, her misery; thinking she broke.
"Don't cry sweetie. Kaali pulled her up; dragging her back to the Room she woke up in.
She was so shocked by the revelations that she didn't noticed until she was pressed up against the Wall. His breath touching her face, his Hands grabbing her neck making her look at him.
"I can't wait to taste you...You will be a tigress... His lips touched her cheek and Gauri tried to push him off but she was not strong enough. Feeling his lips on her skin she began crying once again. Kaali smiled, his face buried in her Neck; inhaling her scent.
Gauri realized he was lost in her so she lifted her Leg and kicked him right between the thighs.
He fell on the Ground making It possible for Gauri to run out of the room. She didn't know where to go but she knew she had to get away from that man. Just the touch of lips made her feel sick and she prayed to god that her Child was unharmed in all the stress.
She knew something wasn't right, she felt the cramps but she tried to have faith. In herself and in Omkara. Gauri stopped in something that looked like a living room and held her stomach.
Daddy will save us, little One, she thought before being captured by Kaali. She felt the slap before she could see it and fell down on the ground. His Men just watched him while he lowered down to her; pinning her to the ground.
"Now I won't be a gentleman anymore...I will have my way with you in front of everyone.
Omkara looked around the Mansion. He saw a few of Kaali's men and with a sign they were all shot dead. He knew he didn't have much time to save Gauri and their child so he needed to act fast. He looked at his back up and then they walked inside. Tonight It had to end. He would make sure she was safe. That was when he heard Gauri scream.
DON'T TOUCH, Please...Please...Don't!!" Her voice sounded weak yet firm. She was scared he could sense it but she tried to stay strong. One moment of weakness could mean her downfall.
I love my woman fighting a little..."Kaali whispered and Om heard him open his belt. They were in the living room and he was hovering over her with his men watching.
Please...I am pregnant...Please...Don't do this to me..." She cried bitterly; breaking Om's heart.
He had always known he would bring her sorry but not to what extent.
No one will save you now." Kaali pulled her against him and was already leaning down to capture her lips in his when Om walked into the room and fired his gun.
Gauri closed her eyes when she felt Kaali kissing her until she heard the Gun shot. Several Gun shots. She screamed covering her ears and then she felt Kaali being lifted off of her.
"Baby. His Voice was as soft as ever and made her open her eyes. There he was. Her savior.
"Om...She cried and he embraced her tightly. Hugging him was all she needed at that Moment.
No matter what he had done or would do she would love him. She would be by his side.
Pulling away from her he examined her, making sure she wasn't hurt.
"Did he touch you? Did he hurt you? Omkara kissed her face, not able to comprehend that he managed to save her. He thanked his lucky stars for such a Moment.
"No he tried but I kicked him in the balls. She said with a soft chuckle and Omkara smiled at her.
"That's my Girl.
He kissed her and she closed her eyes. It felt like coming home; being in his arms. Realizing what she had found out she pushed him away; glaring at him angrily.
"HOW COULD YOU? She asked while punching his chest. Around them Omkara's Men were busy taking out Kaali's Men while some kind of policemen were arresting him. He was bleeding from a wound in his leg and his Arm. Definitely Om's work.
"I had to Gauri...I had to keep you safe. The Minute he saw you he wanted you Gauri ...and I couldn't let him have you. How could I? I love you more than I have ever loved anyone or anything. So by marrying you , you were safe but I could never be your husband because-"
"Because you feared that If I got pregnant he would use our child against you? She whispered and he nodded. He closed his eyes in pain.
"All I ever wanted was to be with you...Starting a family with you. Be the husband you deserve but this Darkness consumed me Gauri. I was lost and I couldn't let you be sucked into it. I had to protect you even if it meant hurting both of us. He had me in his Hands...After I hit that Girl I was so lost...I was scared and he had me Gauri. He blackmailed me using my fear to keep me as his loyal men...but then I met you. He cupped her face and she smiled softly.
"You were my Light guiding me out of the Dark and I was hopeful...I felt like maybe I could dare to hope for a better life. Do you think I can still hope for a better life? With you? And our Baby?
before Gauri could answer him some Men pulled Omkara away from her and put him in handcuffs. Confused she looked at him and the men and tried to stop them.
"LET GO OF MY HUSBAND! She tried to push them but was pulled back by Rudra. He shook his head and she tried to understand what was happening around her.
"Rudy...What is going on? Gauri looked at her Brother in Law who himself had tears in his eyes.
"Gauri Listen to me. You have to be calm, the stress is not good for you.
Immediately Gauri stopped fighting and He let go of her.
"Om? She turned to him and he looked at her with all the Love he possessed.
"I took a deal...By snitching on Kaali I managed to get a lesser sentence but still...I have to go with them Gauri. He looked at the Policemen who were replaced by the FBI.
"Where are they taking you Omkara? She asked looking at Rudra who looked at his Brother.
"To prison. Rudy...Listen take care of her okay? He looked at his younger brother while being dragged out. Gauri and Rudra followed them while Shivaay talked to another FBI Agent who was taking care of Kaali.
"how long will you be gone?
"I don't know yet...Will you wait for me? Will you Gauri? They made him sit in the Van forcefully and Gauri looked at him; thinking. Could she endanger herself and her child again?
She knew he loved them with all his heart, she loved him too but his World was too dangerous.
How could she ensure that he wouldn't be blackmailed again? What if Kaali's partner would look for him and find her? There were so many possibilities and she wasn't sure what to think or to feel. Could her Love be strong enough to fight against everyone that tried to break them?
"Gauri? The panic in his eyes killed her and it was the last thing Gauri saw before he was driven away.
