SPOILERS...
As a show, I quite enjoyed it! Great direction and screenplay and it as well-written. My first time watching Gurdeep Kolhi onscreen. She's lovely and beautiful and has great screen presence. Mona and Ronit were decent. Oh and Suchitra Pillai was fab as always. I liked the kids too. Nice production value. I liked it cause it was showing different characters and perspectives and was very open to interpretation.
It wasn't the most romanticized take in the world, but a lot of the messiness of real life was missing. There was an attempt to make all three characters likeable. Ananya was a woman who herself was cheated and then became the mistress of a man who was betraying his family for her. They tried to make us sympathize with Ananya; somehow her love had nothing to do with money - it was pure - and of course she wanted the status of a wife in his life. We never really understood why Rohit left his wife as he was depicted as a very balanced man, Poonam as the perfect wife, and his relationship with Poonam was ideal, so it was ironic how they kept mentioning there was a void in their relationship. Rohit's consideration for his family even after the divorce e.g. complete monetary support is something which is very rare in real life and doesn't happen when a man leaves his dependant family for another woman. Poonam would have had to start over for herself from square one - life wouldn't have just gotten easier as they showed here with her drinking rum and coke - nice on screen, not true to life.
Rohit didn't value the woman that sacrificed her whole life for him, Poonam. The woman he left his wife of 20 years for, Ananya, valued herself too much to lose herself in a relationship with him. He ended up alone. Karmic justice. Apt.

Season 2 has been announced and I don't know how to feel...it's kind of like 13 Reasons Why coming back. I want to watch the actors again but I'm concerned about the track forward haha. Rohit had an affair before Ananya and he may have one after or may "choose his family" as Ananya insinuated but realistically he's certainly not about to wait for her so it would be very queer if they took such a route.

I'm actually curious about other people's take...what did you think?
