Everyone thinks arjun is a chor.. but are his deeds his own fault? Wasn't chachaji right about what pressurizing kids can lead to?
The parents' constant attentive and supportive response during the persons vulnerable moments affects the person a lot.
Naina does recieve this affection from chacha and chachi but arjun doesn't. Shefali is the only person till date that has actually encouraged him.
Parents love and support also aides the ability to cope well during dealing with troubles. Poor test results or losing a sporting event (here cricket) in these competitive environments means that children might need more support or consolation from their parents. But rakesh is often too busy with his own aggressive feelings he scolds his son, neglects his needs, adding insecurity to the attachment.
Teenagers may feel their hard work and motivation is driven by parental pressure rather than their own desires. They don't feel that the people they care about also care about them. They are very insecure about their abilities and lack confidence in their day to day lives.
This lack of confidence lead towards stealing the papers. He was wrong. But rakesh is more to be blamed for this then arjun.
The fact is, most kids crumble under pressure they perform below their capabilities when they want to do their best.
