Analyzing And Making Sense Of Dumbness

Alright!! It's time to calm down after that atrocious precap. A looot of things are making sense now.Long post! Be warned!!

We have all been entertained and shocked by turns seeing Zo's decision-making skills. There has been plenty of boiling raita on the forum about the same. I read posts on how writers are doing a bad job sketching her character. But considering the show is otherwise brilliant and script close to flawless and intelligent actors like Harshad and Jennifer agreed to do such roles, I think we should take a step back and accept that this is how Zo is.

No one can defend that level of absurdity that we just saw, not even the writers. So I am sure they have thought this through and given her such a role. This level of dumbness is required at this point to show how helpless/lost, a good-hearted princess she is initially before she does a 360-degree turn (No, she will not become Maya still). There is nothing lower than this brain level for now as every boy/girl in the world is aware of stranger danger from age 5+ min. But Zo is not. That's why we find that dumb. I would like to get hold of her ammi and ask very specific questions.

What the writers are trying to do here - Adi never had to take responsibility for anyone in his life, not that he would be bad at it. He is an extremely intelligent and successful guy but as Pooja was the more dominant one there, he never bothered to take up the reigns. With Zo, there is no chance but he has to take some amount of responsibility. Adi has already called her a gaddhi and brainless. But her extreme naivety is what he is going to fall for soon. He will tease her and scold her for it definitely but he will feel helpless like watching a baby bird in a sky full of hawks. That concern will turn into something else soon.We saw him look at Mahi with contempt and already gave a dire warning to Zo. Now, he will start watching her back and Pooja is soon going to be completely forgotten. She has that immense blind faith/love that she can give him and that's his light. His new goal will be to lend her his strength and make her see things for what they are! Also, it tells him that this girl can never ever hurt anyone, including him. That's big points!

Coming to the affair from Yash's side- It would have been so easy to make Zo fall for Yash that without thinking much he married her, mostly by looks I think as they are not compatible in any other way. After the effect of shiny new marriage wore off, Yash might have lost interest but being a good guy could not tell Zo what the matter was. It seems like he does not have a long-term vision for life because of which both his marriage and business failed. Now, Adi already knows the brain status and is not attracted by looks so far. So that makes a stark contrast in the way he will love Zo from how Yash loved her.

P.S - Yash must be laughing at Adi from upar saying "Bro, I am out! Your turn to manage the madness!"

I still can't get over Adi's face in the precap. Let me go laugh at it again. So what do you guys think? Does this analysis make sense?

I'm sorry, I tried giving CVs the benefit of the doubt. But now I am really hating the way the have portrayed Zoya. It almost like to explain why Yash might have strayed for someone average looking like Puja their trying to show that looks were the only thing Zoya had to offer. The stupidity she displayed in the precap. You would even excuse that form a teenager. But for a grown educated woman that is completely inexcusable. Hanging out with prostitutes? Getting into a car with complete strangers? What was this woman thinking? Is she not educated on how high the sexual assault rate in India is? I know this was meant as a joke but she would have to be a virgin not understand the way those men were looking at her? CVs really need pull up their socks when it comes to Zoya. At least give her some admirable attributes. A dumb pretty bimbo is not good enough for the lead. I will have to stop watching if this is how they keep going. I mostly just skim through the episodes for now.

We will have to put up with a lot of innocence (the highest form ever that was shown on tv so far...don't wanna call it stupidity again). But I think the story is about the way they realize their faults and build a strong foundation together.

Of course I am not making any excuses for CVs or the dumbness mata Zoya. Common sense naam ki cheez nahi hai. Maybe she has no work experience because this is the common sense level she displayed!! But things will change for the better. Isse low kuch ho hi nahi sakta. And I think somewhere it is about seeing only the good things in life or she would have seen Mahi's over niceties. She takes things at face value. It will pay off in the future. And I would blame her parents man! Seriously, if you do not teach your kids froma young age on what SHOULD NOT be done, then bachchein bade hokar aise hi harkatein karenge.

Let's just enjoy the show! It will be fun.
