Saif Ali Khan: Life could chew you up and spit you out, and you won't

Saif Ali Khan is all set to make his web debut
this year, besides his next movie,
Bazaar. The actor is known to have
managed the work-life balance well over the
years.
Talking about the importance of striking the
right balance between personal and
professional life, Saif told a leading daily,
''This is the place where you work and you
get out, and live your life elsewhere.
Otherwise, it will chew you up and spit you
out, and you won't even know what
happened. You will be miserable.''
He further said, ''I have a life away from
films, just like my parents. My happiness is
not based here (in the movies). I don't have
too many friends, because that is not what I
came here to do. I love working here. Maybe
I will attend some parties that I want for
some of the wonderful people I know.
Otherwise, I give a lot of importance to my
personal life because that will stay. And, I
have got to enjoy it as well. It could all end
tomorrow. I don't want to have not done
anything or not gone anywhere. Life goes
by pretty fast.''
Earlier in an interview, Saif had said that he
wants to focus and work even harder. 'I am
also concerned that some of my films
haven't done well in the past. But I have
received good reviews. But I know, some
things in your control, and some aren't,'' he
said.
'I am not trying to be clever. But I don't
think I am particularly a massy
guy. So the right producer can guide me
through and make me a bit massy. But I'd
rather do a film I relate to. I am not
particularly niche either. All I am saying is I
am not just an arty actor, who can't be
charming on screen. Otherwise, my life is
decently set up, between family and work,''
he added.
