Ranveer Singh buys Mercedes-Maybach S500!

Ranveer Singh has an interesting garage with cars like Mercedes-Benz GLS and Aston Martin Rapide. The luxury car loving actor has now acquired the uber-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S500. Interestingly, this is not the facelifted Mercedes-Maybach that the brand launched in February 2018 with slight updates. This is the pre-facelift model that carried a price tag of around Rs. 1.85 crores, ex-showroom. The car gets Ranveer's signature number on the registration plate.

Ranveer had the Jaguar XJ L as a luxury sedan in his line-up of cars but the flagship sedan of the Jaguar is not as luxurious as the S-Class. Ranveer's newest ride is made-in-India Maybach that comes to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit. It is powered by a massive 4.7-litre V8 bi-turbo engine that churns out a maximum of 455 Bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque.

Tha Maybach sedans can be identified by their restyled grille and uniquely designed 19-inch alloy wheels. The car also gets Maybach moniker on the C-pillars and the boot lid. The Maybach offers much more space in the rear with an increased wheelbase of 207mm. It makes sure that the rear passengers have enough room to travel comfortably.

The luxurious Maybach S500 gets some high-level equipment on the inside. The rear passengers get adjustable seats with massage function, same as the front passengers. Mercedes-Benz says that the Maybach is the quietest car in the world for the rear passengers. It also gets features like air balance package, which is a perfume atomizer and ioniser that helps in keeping the interiors fresh. The vehicle also gets magic sky control, Airmatic air suspension, Nappa leather wrapped upholstery with Maybach logos on every seat, a seven-colour ambient lighting package and a 1,540 watt Burmester 3D surround sound system with 24-speakers.

The safety equipment includes rear seat beltbags and cushion bags. It is an inflatable device that deploys during an accident and reduces the load on the ribcage during a frontal impact. Other features include airbags, night view assist plus, 360-degree camera, active parking assist, LED lighting, crosswind assist, pre-safe impulse and tyre pressure monitoring among many more such features.
