Why do they go like.. we are here to entertain you and all that we do is for your own entertainment when all they care about is money and fame.

Isn't this all a big lie?

Why would you go and thank an actor for entertaining you. He or she didn't do it for you. I wonder. Do they ever go the extra mile for the audience? Not really.

I think actors like are douchebags lol probably think so highly of themselves too. I mean, if they are super stars, the least they can do is give to their audience; as the audience is what makes them super stars. Or popular, whatever.

We thank doctors,teachers and other professionals...Including soldiers,police personell,firemen.I come from a defense background..many faujis in my family.

We are all paid to do our jobs.When the job is done well,we thank them.

Why must actors be excluded?

I think most actors don't just want fame they really want to be loved and respected. I don't think they are lying when they say they want to entertain us because they think that will make us love them. That is independent of also wanting fame and fortune.

As you2 said, we all expect pay and hope for acknowledgment for our work and that is no different. (Most) doctors also genuinely hope to help patients so is it wrong for a doctor to tell a patient, "I want to help you, I'm here to help you " when he or she is also certainly there for the money and stability?
