Part 27
Rest of the dinner was less eventful with them stealing glances and geet not leaving his hand under the table.
Everything seemed normal. Family was happy. No one gave any concerned look, that he was used to since his break up with Nt. He felt life just about getting back on track. His business was picking up.
Handa's paid for the dinner though Chacha ji tried to argue otherwise.
As they walked to their ride. Maan looked at Geet and their hands that were laced. Even if there was no hope of a real relationship between the two of them, he knew that he would never be where he was now, if it wasn't for her. And he will hold her dearly in his heart... for the rest of his life. He reached out and gave her a gentle kiss, smiling against her lips.
Geet was surprised, so was everyone else. It was so unlike Maan to do something like that in front of everyone. But then Geet has always managed to bring out this side of him.
Geet felt little shy but she didn't show. Instead she smiled back at him and reached out to hold him closer by his arms.
Thanks you he whispered pressing her hand that rested on his upper arm.
Geet - you are welcome she whispered back.
He just knew it was one of those moments when they just connected. They knew exactly what the other was thinking.
Until, they were interrupted by chacha ji, who had all the questions regarding her business.
Parents sat in the huge living room and chatted through the night. Rano proudly shared her older daughters family pics. Men spoke about the Golf game they were planning on next day. Geet sat cutely cuddled up in her moms lap. He stood in the corner and watched them all to his heart's content until he got a call from Sasha regarding some plan. He went to his room and opened the laptop. He didn't even realize it was way past midnight. The house was suddenly silent. He sighed & closed his laptop to get some sleep. He wondered if she got some sleep, he remembered how exhausted she looked then.
They were playing a dangerous game. In truth, no girl would put up with this. Why Geet Handa was doing so, he didn't know. And she was doing it so well, and so nicely, it was getting more and more difficult for him not to feel something for her. Oh god he was already so physically attracted to her, he didn't want to wish this was all real. He couldn't take that risk.
Just then he saw her sneaking into his room, closing the door behind. She looked at him mischievously.
Maan - we can't
Geet - I know
She said and came closer to him. Damn he couldn't have held back.
He stepped closer to her and tilted her chin gently so he could look into her eyes. Without giving her a chance or warning, he bent down and gave her a thorough kiss on the lips. That kiss swept her off her feet. Once it started, it was so hard to stop. He ignited the fire that had been threatening to light since he saw her. She kissed him back, with just the same passion. He nuzzled her neck as she pulled him to her.
Maan - oh Geet we shouldn't be doing this. But he couldn't make the effort to stop
Geet - I know, she hissed, But I can't seem to help myself
He went back to her lips and kissed her savagely. She couldn't help responding the same way.
They were hungry for each other. Maan couldn't help thinking at the back of his mind, how complicated they were making things. They already have slept with each other on separate occasions. Could they really afford to do it again!
He wound his arms around her waist and lifted her off her feet. She clung to him, neither one of them dared to break the kiss. They landed on the soft mattress.
Maan took a deep breath - we have to stop...
Geet moaned - good luck with that, nuzzling his neck
Maan groaned with the need and pulled sleeves off her shoulder, he didn't care about anything anymore. He nuzzled his way down from her lips to her chest. he couldn't contain it anymore. He felt thirsty and hungry and he wanted her at that very instant.
They lost all their clothes . He kissed her again. He couldn't contain the fire threatening to consume him anymore. She was teasing him, prolonging his agony.
Finally, he couldn't take it anymore, he stopped kissing her all of a sudden. She opened her eyes, worried about what made him stop. He was staring at her curiously.
Geet - kya huwa
He shook his head - I don't... I don't have... protection on me
She looked surprised
He shook his head - sorry I didn't plan to sleep with women in this trip. What would I need it for
Geet - Don't you have one in your wallet
Maan - Now you know not all guys keep condoms in their wallets.
Geet chuckled like he cared about it last time, If you're worried about pregnancy, then you can withdraw she suggested.
Maan - but pregnancy isn't the only thing you worry about when you have sex, is it?
Geet laughed - don't worry Geet Handa doesn't sleep around
He looked at her tensed. He didn't mean that. Yet he didn't know her much.
Geet - I trust you
He stared back at her - What... do you mean?
Geet - I mean I haven't shared a bed with anyone else and as long as there's a chance that we're in this together, I'm not going to.
He smiled back at her, he didn't know what to feel. He just thought that right then and there, he had died and gone to heaven. He was not expecting her to make that commitment. He thought it was a physical thing between them, but she was willing to make it exclusive between them. And somehow, that thought was as breathtaking as it was scary and confusing for him. Well his throbbing desire for her prevented him from thinking far beyond and ahead. He thought he would deal with all this latter.
Maan - well... you know I haven't... before you. and I haven't...he shuttered.
A glitter lit in her eyes and he gave her a kiss on the lips.
Geet - I know that
He leaned forward and gave her a kiss on the lips. Then he nuzzled her neck again.
Maan - why are you doing this Geet? He whispered against her neck
Geet looked down at him - because I want you, Maan. Not in the pretense game. I want you... for real.
She leaned down and kissed his head - And everything Geet Handa wants, Geet handa gets.
And then without another word, they lost each other into a pool of passion.
When he woke up that morning, he had her naked and wrapped in his arms. He felt comfortable and safe, wanted and protected. He heaved a sigh. It had been exhausting night of lovemaking. He was almost afraid he would consume all of her. He lost himself to Geet. All of him. He couldn't think, he couldn't speak, he just... lived it all. He felt her beside him, he felt inside her. And now, it made him want to stay locked in her arms forever.
He kept staring down at her. She was still sleeping, he knew she had a long day yesterday. She should sleep most of the day today. He felt he had imposed too much on her. But she was so perfect!
She was the perfect fiance and he was sure his family did not have a doubt in their minds that he was okay now. That the Dev-Nt episode no longer bothered him. That his engagement with this wonderful, sweet magical girl was real.
He propped up on his elbow and watched her sleep. She had a beautiful face, her features, her perfect nose, her full long lashes. She was perfect.
When they were together, it felt like two pieces of a puzzle. They complimented each other, they read each other's thoughts, and they finished each other's sentences. They made this great team.
He took a deep breath and thought to himself how she made him laugh. How she saved him from hell. She encouraged him to be better. She would have been the perfect girlfriend, perfect fiance. But she was still a complicated person, with a complicated life.
When this was all over, she would still be the heir of the Handa's. That was everything he tried to avoid since Nt. He hated how that women was drawn to money, power and sex. She was overly ambitious. And definitely Geet was an ambitious women too.
He didn't think he could afford to break his heart again. And not with Geet. She was 100 times the Nt was. Many times the woman he ever wanted! And he was afraid he would hurt that many more times if she broke his heart. And his heart... was the one thing he had left which seemed to deceive him now.
Well thats it for now..
