Currently, the actor is prepping for the
biopic on Kargil martyr, Param Vir Chakra
Captain Vikram Batra reportedly tentatively
titled, Kargil: Sher Shah.
Now, it looks like, Sidharth is in talks with
Anees Bazmee for his next, according to a
leading daily. According to a source of the
daily, Anees has approached Sidharth to star
in a solo-led movie which will be a romantic
comedy. The actor-director duo recently met
at Anees' office and to discuss the script and
Sidharth liked the story.
The source added that this is just the first
round of discussion. Sidharth is yet to sign
the movie and the actor will sit for a proper
narration and only then will he decide.
Meanwhile, speaking of starring in Vikram
Batra's biopic, when Sidharth was asked
why it took him so long to star in a biopic,
the actor revealed, "A biopic needs to mean
something. As an actor, I need to feel the
connect. A biopic is not a fictitious story. It is
based on a real person and I think one
needs to handle that with a lot of sensitivity.
The character that I'll be playing next is very
sensitive and his story is also quite touching.
When I was approached for the film, and
they spoke to me about the character, I felt
it means a lot to me and I have so much
respect for him."
Earlier, in an EXCLUSIVE tte--tte with
Pinkvilla, we had asked Sidharth about the
kind of roles he was looking for to which
the actor revealed, "I think there are a
couple of them. One is an out-and-out
comedy which is more of a not serious kind
and other would be horror. There is a big
market for horror in India but people don't
explore that much. Superhero, I have already
spoken about it. I think we need a
superhero in India that needs a great
amount of writing and character behind it. if
someone manages to crack it and
approaches me, I would love to play a
superhero which has a number of series
behind it."
