Once upon a time in Ishqbaaaz,getting talli on consumption of alcohol,bhang,poisoned berries et al led to some progression in the love story of Shivaay and Annika and the overall story.
Take for example the first time Shivika got drunk on the impromptu party by the poolside when Mallika came visiting Oberoi Mansion as a runaway bride.We got the iconic scenes where Shivaay declared he found Annika cute and Annika loved the 100 shades of his iris and they danced shedding all their inhibitions to "Kahike paan Banaras wala".❤️
Even though they were drunk,Annika and Shivaay both recollected what they did under influence and this is was the first time both willingly collaborated to do something----destroy the incriminating video.😆
This time Annika made Shivaay laugh wholeheartedly at her antics and Mallika showed him how he was SSO version 2.0 with Annika.
Next time Annika and Shivvay were drunk with the nectar of poisoned blueberries. At that time Shivaay was trying to overcome his obsession for lineage and bloodline with respect to Annika. We got some awesome goofy dance moves and post the fight with the runaway convicts we had this amazing conversation between Shivika where Shivaay vowed to be the tree offering shelter to Annika and trying to overcome his mental baggage with time.
The third bhaang scene was when Shivaay tried to know what secret Annika was hiding from him. Annika cunningly avoided getting intoxicated and instead Shivaay fell into the trap and we had "Jai Jai Shiv Shankar" ❤️
Here Annika told him the earth shattering secret (falsely fed to her by Pinky) of Shivaay's birth and we had the melting down of Shivaay in Annika's arms----another soulful episode and event in the life of Shivika and us!
Coming to the latest----bhaangwali holi - where the makers tried to create a comic sequence.However,it fell flat as there were too many "secrets" and too many "kirdaars". I felt that it was irrational and led to no meaningful end as everyone's intentions were nullified by the other and the net result is zero. Even Shark Singh Oberoi who has been fed 6 badams from early childhood by his mom to sharpen his memory did not remember what so ever that happened and he had planned to extract secrets out of the enemies swarming his castle!
...Unless the makers decide to surprise us and the ace up their sleeves is that SSO ultimately recollected what Veer and Soumya said under influence and gets to work secretly to oust them from their lives once and for all ! But to tell you I have hope in negatives regarding this ever happening.
Till then we have to bear this--
