For Neil to melt towards Avni he will first need to understand why it was that Avni chose to become Nilanjana, who is neither Avni nor Ananya!

Because as both Avni & as Ananya she attracted attention of both the good & the bad kind! & this time she wanted to avoid drawing attention to herself & just exist peacefully below anyone's radar!

As Avni she was always DVM's target, then later she became RPs too!

As Ananya she arose Neilz curosity, which was a good thing, but that also brought her the unwanted attention of Vidyut!

As Nilanjana she's practical who is so unlike the overtly-emotional Avni and she lives within the set boundaries unlike the more dabaang Ananya who acted before she thought about the consequences!

Once Neil realises that Nilanjana is just another persona created by Avni like she had created Ananya's...he wouldn't be able to stop himself from bringing the original Avni back for himself!

Yes he is hurt & for him the time has stood still for the past 10 years, but he has had the full support of his family & friends behind him...also he has always been Neil...he has never needed to be anybody else (except for a short while when he was Neo!).

But Avni has had no one...atleast last time she had Neela maa, but this time she is all alone...her friends from jail may know her histrory but they really know her!

Avni has had to change her name & herself time & again to just survive...& Neil will get that! Besides I think his relief at Avni being alive & well will outweigh his anger at her lying to him!

I was saying the same thing to Shonali, when Neil took his drastic step he had Neela on his side but who does Avni have? Avni had no one, her biggest support system in Neela was taken away and she had to leave behind a family she needed the most during one of the darkest times in her life. Avni has been all alone, I am sure she has not even told Sunheri and the twins about why she made such a sacrifice. Avni most likely kept this all bottled up which makes things worse and further explains why has turned into a shell of her former self. This is nothing like Ananya Verma who was a fighter like Avni was, here she is the complete opposite and running from life. It has to be one of the things that melts Neil or at least puts him in search of the truth. Neil has to learn the truth about Prakash killing Neela thanks to being drugged, somehow that truth has to come out to him and the Khannas.


I want a role reversal of the jail track, Neil can try his best to stay angry at Avni much like she tried to be angry at him but there is pull towards her. Neil will hate himself for loving her so much and slowly the truth will unravel.

He will be angry with her initially but her state will definitely make him think . As you guys said this is not Avni or Ananya but Nilanjana who is someone created by Avni forcefully. This side of Avni's will definitely make him to think why she had stopped fighting and has forced herself to be weak and timid .That will make him fight for her even more . Like Payal said Neil had support of friends and family and was himself all these days but Avni has nothing but only memories of him . His anger will definitely melt soon seeing what she had done to herself. I can vouch for it

Neil and Avni have now met and while Neil is intoxicated and will likely not remember a thing that does not change the fact he is getting closer to the truth. It is more than likely that when Neil learns that Avni is alive he will be angry with her for breaking her promise, for letting her grieve for her which is understandable. Neil is only human and his anger won't lessen how much he loves her but my question is how will he melt towards her? We know Neil and Avni can never stay angry at each other for long so what do you think will start that melting process??

In Thursday's episode Neil asked Avni would they have been happy if they were different people and not fighting evil. Neil will soon get his answer, he will have Avni near to him but she will be a stranger because she slowly killed those traits that made him fall in love with her. Could it be this is what starts the melting process? Neil seeing Avni so broken and traumatized has to kill him, especially if he were to know Daya still controls her thoughts. For Avni to think of herself as a bad omen to those in her life, to stop fighting in fear she will lose much more than she gained has to make Neil want to fight to bring that side of her back. I believe this is what can start the healing process along with those kids, when they know what Avni has been through they could also help Neil in bringing out that fighter in her and once that side is revived Avni can make things up to Neil, it can be a role reversal of the previous track where despite Avni forgiving Neil he could not forgive himself. Basically Neil and Avni need to heal each other but how do they get there?

I really hope that Neil starts to get flashbacks from the time he spent with Avni...he shouldn't have a total memory blank...he must start remembering and questioning if she can be alive. Neil has always been shown to be a smart cop ..yet I think he accepted Avnis death very easily...also these hallucinations of Avni and now this might that he spent with her. The writers can't make him so gullible ...he has to start thinking and questioning the possibility of her being alive . I hope there are flashbacks of that night ...what she said..what she looked looked like...glasses and older ...and it would be great if he finds some proof e.g. a hair strand or lipstick mark or earring etc.

Agreed, its going to hit him hard to see Avni in this state. This is nothing like when she was Ananya, Ananya was a fighter, she was fearless and she was dangerous but Nilanjana just look at her she hides in fear. When those goons entered her house instead of finding a way to fight back she stood in a corner in fear and it was not because she was afraid Neil would be alerted. Its just sad to see her like this, Avni killed much of what made her who she was.

I think once Neil meets Avni again everything will start making sense to him, he will start remembering feeling her presence, how he came to Sukoon House and everything that has followed. Neil is not thinking clearly right now but he will soon enough

I feel the whole angle of a villain will be catalyst.
